I admit I'm one of them. :ROFLMAO:

But you made me realize something.
Out of all the different playthrough scenarios I've gone through, I still haven't done one where my MC fails every class, every fight, and I should also rack up all the temptation points as well. I suppose I should get to it 'cause that just might yield some hilarious results as the game progresses.

I'm a boring player. Probably because I'm old and I went through my dumbass days a long ass time ago. I was totally that "Hold my beer" dude growing up. :ROFLMAO:

Not me. I came closer to death than I want to admit many, many times. That's not the nostalgic feeling I want to remember.
hahaha

All I'll say is, "Dito!"
It's Mc Allans bar for me too. Actually if I showed up there,
they'd probably think I was hired to be Santa for the season.....

*Edit*
if you look at my sig, I was 18 when that aired.

I personally didn't, but there were others who tested what happens when you fail, and make the worst party and it happens what I said, everyone thinks it is the greatest ever, except Becky .

so in the end, even if you fuck it up, you are praised and as we know you also tasked to do the other one in episode 10.

so it is totally pointless to say MC did a good job, when the game is Rigged:LOL::ROFLMAO:
Stop lying, why are you lying? Just admit you fucked up at the party planning so we can all agree you are such a liar.

Well, MC is the player so it is a bit unfair. :p
But from storyline perspective, MC was lost, and Tommy was his Party Mentor, and told him how to do , and guided him. That is the plot of episode 9, . He did admit to Quinn that MC did a great job, but that probably spelling error by dpc, because even if you fuck it up the party and it is the worst party ever, Tommy and Quinn think it's the best ever, including Lily.

at least Rusty tells the player he is bad as a party maker when rusty is not happy.
Sounds more like you was a bad party planner :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: In all fairness I think any one could up with those ideas, it just tells you how bad a fucking job Tommy did if no matter what it gets called the best:ROFLMAO:

So, I read a post today about KARAMBA sucking Quinn’s dick. :KEK:
If you’re not involved in this conversation, just skip this post.:Kappa:
I couldn’t help myself. Again.:HideThePain:
I wanted to do better, but I couldn’t find a naked Quinn standing right there. And I couldn’t find a proper pose for MC and Quinn.
So I just took a random penis off the Internet.:KEK:

And, yeah, I don’t think I’m gonna be making any more pictures like that. :HideThePain:
It’s one thing to set a trap or some anime futanari.
But looking at a hundred pictures, naked men, to find the right penis angle.:HideThePain::FacePalm:
It’s too much, even for me.:HideThePain:
Ooh...
I see you're a joker.
It's funny.
Nice joke.
I'll remember.

Idk about that. Personally, I found ep9 to be one of the weakest. And Interlude was meh as well for me (not because of length).

No one is saying he shouldn't try to improve. People are just annoyed with updates getting longer and longer. For me personally, I think up to 9 months is still good, more than that becomes a bit silly and I tend to lose interest in the game and forget a lot of it and have to replay before playing new update. Luckily, this game has good replayability, but I already played it many times and don't want to replay from the start every year+ especially all the possible paths. So, improving and pushing boundaries doesn't mean making updates bigger. Personally, I don't feel like episodes that took a year to finish are 3x better than early ones that took like 2-3 months. Yes, technically they are bigger and more complex, but I didn't necessarily enjoyed them 3x more.

I personally think the scope of this game is too huge for one developer. And that's the view I share with quite a few other games. Some games have way too many girls to chase. It's nice to have variety, but when you go to double digits, it's just too much. If you have quality girls in game, you don't need 10+ of them. I much prefer few of them and more time spending with each.

This has nothing to do with how long it is. The episode just wasn't that interesting to some and I can imagine why. For me, I feel there was barely any story progress, main girl (the path you choose in ep8) didn't really get the scenes I was hoping for (I hoped we would get to share the news among dik brothers and possibly to others and see their reactions; only Jill got to tell her friends), and idk, just one big party wasn't that interesting to me. But, ofc, that doesn't mean episode is bad, it's still good and I love the party mini game.

Not sure if that is quite true, but anyway... There are also no other developers with this kind of money support, not even close. And all that money is for DPC alone, he doesn't have to pay anyone, since he wants to solo this (which I don't have problem with).
Yea, I wasn't a fan of Ep 9 either.

To be fair, DPC had a lot to account for in that release: the long-awaited Halloween party we thought we were getting in Ep 8, officially introducing Zoey to the main cast otherwise the Interlude would've felt oddly timed, Maya's meeting with Stephen Burke, the stupid "fuck fuck fuckity fuck" at the end of ep 8, explaining why MC never had an opportunity to learn Sage's last name, progression in relationships/closing off of other ones that happened in the timeline after Ep 8 but before Ep 9, new mini-games, all the branching paths, etc, etc. For the Halloween party, it was a whole shebang. For everything else: ass pull, ass pull, Zoey actually done pretty well, ass pull, I liked the party planning game, then Vinny pulls a gun and the genre changes REAL quick.

That being said, it seems like he's more focused on pedantic details than something of substance. From what I saw it looked like the animations are what really held up the release date in the end. The end result for me is that I wasn't very impressed or didn't even really notice. Season 1 was already leagues above almost every other VN.

The freeroam was exhausting and repetitive to the point that I still haven't finished a few runs yet. After the 2nd time or 3rd time, I even just started turning into a speed run and then it felt even more pointless to play.

It was already "better". To me, all the talk about cinematic-like animations and thousands of renders just feel like "Oooh, everyone look at all the pretty fireworks!" then people eat it all up (although I guess with the 60fps stuff even some of the most ardent defenders have become a little jaded). A great "BANG!", everybody cheers, but only lasts for a moment.

The thing about a fireworks show is that they're great ... if they come out in a timely succession. If the first one goes off and the second one pops an hour later, everyone would have already gone home.

Thousands of renders and I didn't really feel like the story moved forward all that much. What felt like potential aftermath after the crossroads decision in Ep 8 was relegated to mostly flashbacks in Ep 9. Then there's the whole "cheating" thing. Great, more empty variables and we have the possibility of getting dumped after that "very important life decision." The direction also took a crazy turn when Vinny pulled out that piece. Shit got real (melodramatic, that is).

As for animations, I liked the opening the first time then skipped it every time after that. The only non-lewd animation I noticed was Jamie flipping the bird and I thought, "So this is one of the animations that we were waiting for, huh?" Obviously, there was more than that and you can't say that's what held up the release date. It's just that with all the hype and that being the only one I even remember at this point, it just felt kind of pointless in the end.

To me, it seems like DPC is either burned out or is trying to say something like "It's not just a porn game goddamnit!"

It's a porn game with a fun story/great scenes and a lot of fun features but it's stlll a porn game. I'm looking through all the scripts and the amount of work this one guy has put into this is truly incredible. "Incredible" doesn't even do it justice, any other solo dev would never be able to do what he's done. But there also things that just make think, "He sure put in a lot of work into stuff that doesn't fucking matter and no really cares about." e.g., the ep6 DNG freeroam, Madame, etc. No real variables come from them and I'd call it filler if I didn't see for myself just how much he put into that particular freeroam.

You can say it's because he's trying to create an immersive and vast world but it feels more like he's providing the illusion of a big, interactive world while we're railroaded along a plot/subplots that seem pretty flimsy when standing up to scrutiny.
(Edi: had some half-finished replies I never posted ...)

Its still iffy writing, but he wrote himself into a corner,
I'd say he's written himself into enough corners to make a dodecahedron. Maya's loan issue being one he still hasn't put to bed yet.

You'd be surprised how many people play for the humiliating aspects in a game.
Nah, bro. MC gotta be the best at everything. He's star child. Especially the mansion restoration game. I'd never lose that. That means Rusty would lose his sweet ride which he uses to pick up chicks. I'd never do that to Rusty. He ain't done nothing wrong.

Still doesn't change the fact that there are people do. I'm the same as you. Have to be best of the best.

Not gonna lie, part of me is curious but I don't want to waste a whole damn run just to see.
Don't worry, there are plenty of folks like me with more time on our hands than we know what to do with.
We've got you covered!!

I typically start with my preferred path (obviously) but when I'm done playing the main paths, that's when I get bored and start doing some pretty weird shit. I promise to post my results..
