A couple questions about ep11
1) In general, will Patrick's papers help to close the Maya problem?
It is logical to assume that yes, but in the game there is a possibility of not stealing the documents depending on your decisions that probably in the future will have some effect. At the beginning of season 4 maybe.
I would cautiously assume they won't help, but how DPC would explain that is the big question. DPC has done a great job of explaining Maya's loan and the most logical thing to assume is that it will all be put on pause. For example, friends will be preparing a lawsuit to challenge this loan or something like that.
2) Riona and the party planner.
Okay, the party planning will still remain and it would be really stupid to plan parties knowing that Riona has been kidnapped.
a) Quinn will probably realize soon enough that Riona has been kidnapped and has asked MC for help.
b) Vinnie will probably let her go on her own and try to get some information from her.
c) Riona will be missing for most of the episode and MC will only realize she's missing near the end.
Usually the cliffhanger is resolved in the first half of the episode
3) Josy and Maya's breakup trigger
Yes, the player has to choose between Josie and Maya and strike a balance. But there are players who deliberately go after either Josy or Maya, plus Josy's solo on the Others path is officially open. So DPC will need to somehow combine Josy's solo on the Other path and Josy's solo on the D/M path.
What would that trigger be?
1) It depends on DPC's desire to create two totally different routes. For example, on the one hand we have the contract and we have a happy ending to this problem (not as early as episode 11, but quickly all the same), on the other we don't have the contract and this story takes longer to resolve, and in a darker way.
I think either way, we'll manage to free Maya from blackmail, but depending on how we get there, we'll either have a happy resolution for Derek and Maya's family, or on the contrary, it will have dramatic repercussions on their family. Having the contract is a positive element, so it's bound to play into a happy ending.
2) Rio won't be a prisoner for days. She's kidnapped to either get information, or send a message to Quinn. Either way, she'll be back in a day or two.
3) I'm convinced that we won't be able to have a solo route with M or J via the trouple. As you say, it's the player/MC who makes the relationship work. So if we sabotage the relationship to have one of them solo, it won't work.
On the other hand, if you're single and you've made it clear to Maya or Josy in this episode that you still have feelings for her, you can see that the girl also has the same feelings. The next step is a discussion between the two girls about their relationship, which isn't working, so they break up. I don't think Maya and Josy will be together at the end of the next episode.
