This screenshot makes me think Jamie's hiding his sexuality for real. Him being this closeted & hellbound to Dany and her calling him a "person" in Gender Studies mean she knows he's non-binary and is probably using it. Coupled with him having lost his phone by Ep4, my guess is Dany took Jamie's phone.

altered that scene for the “screenshot.” In the original Jamie is talking about the jocks, and fucking
their tight muscular assholes.
If you read his letter to Dany in Rusty’s laptop (assuming you poked around the laptop at all when Rusty let the MC look at it) you’d notice Jamie
really hates Dany’s insistence on gender-neutering everything. He’s a
man, goddamnit; not a “person.”
And it’s entirely possible he’s a bisexual man. But still a
man. Just because you go for either gender, it doesn’t therefore mean you identify as neither gender. Same as the many,
many bisexual girls in the game; damn near all of them are bi!—or at least willing to fuck other girls. Because it
is fiction after all: they’re bi only to keep the players’ horny options open. In real life, your girlfriend is statistically
never gonna agree to a threeway. Not even when she’s very,
very drunk.
One of my former clients was a male-to-female transsexual (had the surgery and everything). And she loudly objected to neutral pronouns—which religious conservatives, and people who otherwise object to transsexuality, kept inflicting on her. They didn’t want to say she was a “she”; they knew she wasn’t properly a “he” anymore; so they tried to be somewhat inoffensive and say “they.” But it
was offensive—to her. She
chose her gender, and wanted it acknowledged.
Jamie likewise identifies as male, and Dany calling him “my person” offends him. If she
knows it bugs him and does it anyway, she’s an asshole, but it’s far more likely Jamie is keeping his mouth shut in the hopes she’ll fuck him. The real problem is he has no spine. He might grow one when Leon finally declares his love for him, but DPC might be saving that for the final episode as a happy ending.
