Yes, I do find that part of her annoying, for a good chunk of her life she doesn't seem aware of the impact she had on MC with their relationship.

So far I find her character tolerable but not terribly interesting nor am I "invested" in her character as part of the story - at least not as invested as, say, Josy or Sage, etc.

I guess it depends on what DPC "makes" the MC do in the future with her. There are times DPC gives us a lot of agency then there are times he is annoyingly inconsistent with that and rips agency away. We'll see how it unfolds, I suppose. If I don't die of old age first.

Well my guess is "to add drama" - we've got all these women at the... episode 9 party? asking why your "ex-girlfriend" is there and I suppose DPC means for MC to feel some anxiety, and also the player to feel a little anxiety on behalf of MC.

But I don't feel it. Not the same as I do, say, when I'm into the story and I have to break up with Jill because I've picked Sage or Bella over her. Since there's no player agency with Zoey, there's no player investment.

I'm not sure why developers seem to not understand this, while seeming to also understand this. So yes. Odd.

To play half devil's advocate and half of how I see things... it seems you put it all on him to not "be a little coward" - it seems to me they were both little cowards.

But I'm old school. I don't get this whole "not understanding what love is" stuff. You either like somebody or you don't. You either wanna hang around them, kiss them, talk to them and be with them, or you don't. It's not rocket science to me.

Zoey should have understood he meant a lot to her and she should have stayed and talked to him about it and considered his feelings before going off. And MC should have understood and talked to her about it and told her how he felt as well. It's the classic soap opera "not talking to one another" thing that DPC made happen.

So DPC gets all the blame and so do years of soap opera's.

Of course, this is partly his fault. Be a man and tell the girl how you feel, don’t put it off until it’s too late. His relationship problems and the drama in the aftermath are due to a lack of communication.
Her only fault is that she did not consider Tremolo as a loved one in time and may also miss her chance because of this.
In general, typical mistakes of teenagers. But if they had behaved as rationally as possible, BaDIK didn't exist in that case, and they both lived in Miami as a couple.

I don't think Mc got cold feet. but on the contrary, he was afraid that if he confessed his feelings, then somehow she would react coldly or with repulsive maneuvers... Mc for her was like a friend as well as consolation and entertainment.. in reality there are many of them. be it a girl or a guy, admit your feelings to each other, something awkward will happen, then your previous relationship will not be the same, this is the situation everywhere... both are to blame, and both were, let's say, too young to understand about feelings, now having matured a little, you will understand some things. both have moved away and are moving according to circumstances until life pushes you together again)))

I get shit from people whenever I bring this up, but I’m still gonna: They’re kids. Fucked-up kids. They don’t know what the hell they’re doing. The MC and Zoey were just two teenagers who were besties with benefits, and didn’t know enough about love to realize they were in it.

Zoey left to pursue a childish dream (which is totally fine; even adults do that), but took some really crappy advice and ghosted her unhappy best friend. Not cool—even if they weren’t fucking. Trying to make things right with him, is absolutely the right thing to do.

Being upset that she ghosted him, is normal. And the fact she doesn’t answer his last text message at the end of ep 10, implies she might stupidly undo all her work to regain his trust, because she’s repeating the very behavior that broke him.

“They’re kids” is the reason why all this trivial bullshit is treated like world-changing, world-ending drama: Kids don’t know it’s trivial bullshit. They don’t know shit! They’ll learn. They’ll grow up. Cut em some slack.

Otherwise I like Zoey, and I have a path saved for her in the game in case she becomes an LI in ep 11 (or 12, or 13, or whenever, if whenever).

The plot of BaDIK is quite ordinary - a story about a guy in college who is looking for himself and finds himself involved in a whirlpool of events. This doesn't pretend to be a world literary masterpiece. But he was able to create alive world and very interesting characters, plus he revolutionized the AVNs genre with his previous project, showing that porn games are not just a stupid fuck-fest for one-armed gameplay.
Telling that he is the best writer in the genre? Not the best, probably second -third.
I think that DPC is looking for a middle ground in gameplay. He doesn't make the game too branched from the very beginning, where you follow one girl from the start and when you choose her, you lose content - I don't like those, they're too confusing. Also, he doesn’t make a harem that you simply don’t believe is real. People are mostly jealous and harems just don't work.

Nipple piercings in animations are complicated, but I must admit I haven't tried it in a long time. I remember giving Rena a nipple piercing, but it was a real pain to work with. I'm sure it's easier to do it today, after learning more about DAZ3D, but currently none of the models in Being a DIK have it. I will keep nipple piercings in mind for future models, because I like the idea of trying to work with it again.

I think that's the issue it's not treated as a mistake in her life but her wronging him.

He wanted to stay in hometown for high school while Zoey wanted to leave for the surf and San Diego. He dealt poorly with the fact a smurf would not stay just for him so she ignored him eventually. Was she meant to keep banging her head against a wall. Tremolo could not maintain a friendship with Zoey he needed space he in fact finally sorts himself out once she does.

Just translate the Zoey return situation into real life. She's a teenage girl that has a shitty stepdad and just lost her nan one of the people most important to her and decides to move city for a new start. This is not malicious or wrong.

She comes back happy to see you and you give her shit for not staying for you and your penis and how she hurt you by leaving. How is that convo with that woman going? You may as well put your balls in a blender and hit juice.

He should've told her to fuck off or let it go. It makes Tremolo look like one of them pathetic guys that expects a girl to only be about him and gets angry and upset when her existence is about more than him. When it's not a reasonable expectation in the first place.

Alongside Maya's loan it's one of the games shit story lines.
