Not gonna disagree, but how plausible is it that Sage has no clue about what Quinn is up to ?
I think MC/Sage even had a talk about how fast rumors spread.
Or that the MC doesn't mention the prostitution thing to Sage...not noteworthy ?
Finally, somebody brought up the information I'd like answered. Either Sage knows and is corrupt or is a complete airhead which would truly disappoint me. Secondly, why the MC hasn't mentioned the whole setup makes me wonder about him.

Yeah, there are serious flaws in the writing and he could just tell sage what he knows but he doesn't for no good reason. People lionize this game as if it's the end all be all of this genre but it has some seriously flawed writing and the mc/quinn/sage thing is a bid one.
What other flaws are there?

Yeah, also that. Maybe it's a little more justified than the other, cause Quinn's stuff is pretty illegal and so it would be very dangerous to spread things like that (plus Quinn is clearly very able to act behind backs). On the other hand i can't find a justification (even a shitty one) for no one mentioning that one of the most popular girl in the school is the daughter of one of the most popular teacher. That's not such a strange or bad thing to tell and, if you think, there are many other kinship cases that come up almost immediately (Tommy-Josy, Derek-Maya...). Doing it again, at this point of the story and in this way...I didn't find it a brilliant choise.

New topic. What happened to Sage having an affinity for a DIK MC?

Don't get me wrong, I like Sage... she's probably my second favourite LI but she's just entirely CHICK leaning now. Was there even any choices this episode that required you be a DIK regarding Sage?

She spent this episode studying hard. Being understanding regarding her relationship with Chad (giving him a chance to come clean before walking away when he didn't) and it ended with her trying to help a near stranger sort her life out and dating the MC. Replaying the first few episodes really highlights how she's now just as CHICK as anyone else. Does she "like a bad boy" as one of the early endings says? She's on Rooster being all saccharine after her LI saved the leaf she gave him. She encourages him to study and gives him shit when he doesn't.

Other than sexually (in which regard she's barely any more adventurous than Josy/Maya if not less so given those two are having threesomes in public now) she's abandoned all DIK traits and picked up a bunch of CHICK ones. Again, I really like the Sage we have but I'm also curious how EP1 Sage would have panned out. The Sage getting drunk and trying to fuck the MC on the dance floor. The one with binoculars and a grudge. What happened to that Sage?
You can say that again, but about the entire game.
By now the name of the game should have been changed to Being a CHICK.

Having affinity DIK today you don't gain anything, you only have to lose. And everything in the game has become CHICK. If not CHICK, neutral. But DIK? It doesn't even matter with the PinkRose girls, let alone a main girl.

to expand on this Sage/Maya/Quinn/Illegal stuff conversation, maybe Sage knows after Maya tells her about it then blackmails Burke into covering Maya's tuition

I've just finished chapter 8 and I have to say it is still as good as always, or eve better. Only thing I'm not sure about is the forced girl choice, but I understand it probably is to make clearer paths when moving into season 3. Even though, there are lots of things that are left outside that, and not sure how he's gonna develop the story once players have savegames commited to certain girls. But I do have faith so...

I was a little upset that the DPC turned Quinn into almost a classic tsundere from the anime.

Now that the DPC has turned the topic with broccoli, its "derе" moments will be more than a "tsun". No, I like tsundere, Asuka from Evangelion is one of my favorite wayfu, but this is such a sharp jump that I didn't even have time to be surprised. Sometimes she behaves like a schoolgirl in love, then like a cynical and sarcastic coquette, then again like a schoolgirl. It feels like she is sitting on the grass so much that she has bipolar disorder.

On the other hand, Quinn has always been a bit of a tsundere. Just replace "pervert" with the word "baka", add the words "shut up", "fuck you" and other insults and the image of Quinn tsundere is complete.
Now she looks like a schoolgirl in love who is trying as hard as possible to hide the fact of her falling in love . Her comments in a Rooster after a threesome is just a classic of tsundere. Sarah's comment describes her quite accurately.

Quinn path is still hard locked for DIK MCs only, but if you don't care about Quinn then I agree, DIK path is making less and less sense these past episodes.

I think some side girls will become LIs even if they don't have RP. With that CHICK side of Sage coming up in season 2 I think Quinn, Lily and maybe Riona and Camila will become new LIs to make up for the lack of LIs for DIK MC.

I don't think you necessarily need to be DIK to date them, but a DIK MC will synergize better with them.

Sorry BBC, but the last PT I made here with permanent Neutral affinity disagrees.

Quinn is the most disrespected character when it comes to choices and affinities.
You can spend half the game avoiding her, then decide to smoke a joint and fuck her on the roof. Or spend even more time avoiding her, and decide to help her out in the middle of the street, which also leads to sex. Or avoid her completely for the entire game, and have a threesome with her and Sage. At no time the affinity was taken into account.

While "creating a relationship beyond sex", which has happened to her, it also doesn't need DIK choices or even DIK affinity for her to end up being an option for the "others" in the final decision.
The only thing that ends the MC's relationship with her, if not for your lack of self-initiative with Quinn, is continuing a relationship with Jill.

I think some side girls will become LIs even if they don't have RP. With that CHICK side of Sage coming up in season 2 I think Quinn, Lily and maybe Riona and Camila will become new LIs to make up for the lack of LIs for DIK MC.

That's what I think too, with the end of this season and the way the last decision came out.

Thinking on the logical side, only. If the players who prefer the MGs have already made their decision and "closed" that path... What's left for those who preferred the "others" option? That would be a logical answer. Raise the "status" of these secondary girls. And personally, I very much hope that this is the case. But since DPC loves to destroy my dreams, I try to keep that hope down.

I replayed this and some things stuck out:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Ever notice how bad some previous episode animation/renders are

View attachment 1524601 View attachment 1524602 View attachment 1524603 View attachment 1524604 View attachment 1524605
from what i understand it is a flaw of the animation program, which is not perfect in its physics. however, there is a certain constant improvement, but every now and then renderings come out really abnormal...

1) there are some situations in which MC could have suspected, in reality in those occasions someone would have told him or he would have asked for it
2) I think you're talking about Jade, DPC wanted to make the same scene for all players, assuming the worst. when I got there in my first run (Bella) I was puzzled too
3) that's okay, an informal meeting for the private and delicate matter to be dealt with. then we don't know what the plan is (to make Maya get her student loan money? a scholarship? etc etc)

Troy would disagree, Chad is a much better person in treating his current partner than Tommy will ever be. he felt guilty of having wronged sage at that time and was surely able to take a couple of girl punches which are not likely to injure him.
Chad is not even man enough to say to Sage "Yes, I cheated on you. And I´m sorry that I hurt you" and give her a closure. Those are all his feelings of guilt for wronging Sage all that time. He continues lying and playing the good guy role. At least Tommy doesn´t play the good guy, he´s not an hypocrite. And Heather knows well the kind of guy Tommy is: that he´s into drugs, that he fucks strippers, and she´s her girlfriend anyways. It´s not exactly that Tommy is cheating on her or pretending to be a different kind of person than the one he is.

Chad has been cheating on Sage always and about everything for a long time, and making her miserable. Sage didn´t even know the real Chad when they were a couple. That´s way worse than a slap in a tit or than fucking with a stripper in an open relationship. An the only reason Chad broke up with Sage is because he´s being blackmailed, not because he actually cares about Sage and realizes that he´s using her and that she would find a guy that really loves her and gives to her what she needs. Sage has a way better reaction about Chad being gay than the one Chad deserves. I hope that Chad's character will have less and less weigh in the story. I don´t care the slightest about his plotline.

Chad isn't much of a partner for Troy either, forcing him into hiding and leaving him prey to the taunts of the Jocks.

The only improvement in their relationship is due to Burke's choice to remove him from the Jocks, Chad has done nothing

Your not wrong. That relationship is toxic as hell.

Chad's being a bit of a Chad about the whole thing.

You're right about Chad, but not about Tommy. Tommy and Heather have a conditional open relationship, meaning both of them have the right to stop the other one sleeping with someone else. Heather even mentions that she tried to fuck other guys, but Tommy always says no, while he is sleeping with other girls without telling anything to Heather.

Of course, the part where she is still with Tommy is her fault, but Tommy is definitely a barefaced liar.
