Now you're playing victim and retorting my words. I clearly said we all like to help others, please read first and try to understand and empathize with the other. I know, I'm not a virtual blonde girl but c'mon put some effort.
Stop with the nonsense, please. Everybody has helped someone in need at least once if not hundreds of times. Everybody. You feel special for helping a virtual waifu in a game or what? C'mon man
Being a volunteer firefighter is selfless not selfish. Transactional love is selfish instead. I'll gladly explain to you what I was trying to say:
Some guys do X and expect Y in return, so the way they work is this: they fix her car or act like her butler or chauffeur and expect the girl to love them back as "payment" for their efforts. So, what they are trying to do is to exchange "help" to obtain love. That's why the need for the eternal damsel in distress, the "help" has to go on and on to receive the "love". This is called "codependency" in psychology, and it needs a giver and a taker. Is quite common.
Healthy couples are different. They love, not trade. They are more balanced. One may need extra support sometimes but do not follow the White Knight/Princess dynamic all the time. See the difference?
Now, I'm not saying all Maya fans are like this. Nothing like that, so don't go that way. Cheers
