DPC is unforgiving sometimes.
Not really. Most musicians talk a big game about bucking the system, use porn stars for their art, offensive language or imagery; they're all rebels and lovers and freedom fighters, but that's all it is, talk. Metallica was furious that their fans could listen to their music for free on Youtube without paying for it. The Beatles preached a world of love, but John Lennon beat women pretty regularly. Rage against the Machine LITERALLY told their fans to disobey and distrust the government, then verbally attacked anyone who didn't get a vaccine last year.
My point is artists aren't known for their morality. Which makes sense, in many ways a strict code of scruples or a strong disgust metric hinders art. So don't expect a lot of integrity from the kind of people it really doesn't resonate with. They're looking out for themselves, first and foremost. If this makes them look bad, they aren't going to take a stand and risk social disapproval*. Its been a real problem for our society since we shifted from dignity culture.
*the disapproval of others is the worst possible thing to ever happen to you or anyone in history. Obviously.

I didn't particularly like the intro song either, it was too 'booming' for my tastes.
But I didn't put the game on mute after that. DPC song placement is superb.
Unless you also watch TV on mute, then I'd understand you better. I guess.

I guess it all depends on how you consume VNs. For example, im reading the Three-Body Problem series right now...
I also read Marvel comics. I don't do either of these with an audio track in the background, it doesnt seem necessary to me.
And again, that deafening intro guitar blaring put a bad taste in my mouth on top of that.

No. If not on Josy and Maya path, then there are no lewd scenes with either in season 2. Who knows about the future though?
Nope not possible... BUT if you say to derek in EP5 that you still have feelings for Josy, there are some scenes where these feelings are shown... so its a possibility to get together with her in the future if/when she breaks up with maya i think, but not for sure. As for now... nothing lewd with Josy when youre not on the throuple path.
