Josy and Jill are already de facto friends, and I see nothing during or after the game that shows how their relationship has improved as a result of this shared experience, not even a hint. There is no real interaction between the girls, at most with MC (and even there nothing new and unexpected).

They studied together, they have friendships in common that is enough to invite them to a concert.

Imagine it was a skippable content, and I always skipped it. What would I honestly have missed? What next event would I risk not fully understanding or enjoying?
None can answer that, dude. and I'm not Dalix :p. I won't pretend to create a "what if "scenario:LOL:. it is there and it's makes the game feels more alive. I can skip the Rio & Quinn Threesome and dont lose anything either, there you have it, and it's still in the game. or the Dreams about Jade or Caty

Are you gonna say that all of that is just "padding"? Doesn't it actually add to the experience of the game? I mean, it's a story, but it's also a game, to be played for enjoyment.
I'm sorry, but the 'misunderstood genius' argument can only go so far. From a development standpoint a lot of choices make no sense and could be accomplished in ways that are easier to make. Are you going to tell me the stupid fighting game in the phone adds something worthwhile to the experience ? How about some of the free roams which are basically 'do these 3 actions' but then have you waste a bunch of time pixel hunting to unlock some renders or get more money.

I also play the game and like it for the most part, but I'm not going to stay blind to all the problems it has. Some of those are so obvious that it can only be inferred the developer made them to prolong the lifespan of the game.

A lot of people like the fighting game. It actually allows you to practice before actually getting into fights. I would have preferred if there was some kind of underground fighting club rather than an app on his phone, but it doesn't matter. But the brawler game totally cements the mc as a fighter.

The free roams work well, even if the older ones aren't all as complex as the more recent ones. They are a game mechanic that provides time to build cash between scenes, as well as interface with things like Rooster, Swyper, phone calls and messages. It's not padding, it's a game mechanic that works well. Except DPC has a retarded notion of navigation.

Compare that to LoF where you have to arbitrarily check your phone at unknown times to see if there's a message your could send (not sure if it's still like that, but I remember in the early episodes at the cafe you'd miss out on things if you didn't randomly use your phone).

The pixel hunt I don't care for, but I didn't mind tracking down the magazines. It's a game feature that heaps of games have.

But seriously, this product is not just a visual novel, it's most definitely a game. People post their high scores for things like Triple Tile. It's fun. You know, the reason why people play games in the first place.

Of course there are some mistakes in the game, but the only feature I find no enjoyment in is Madame Rose. But that's me. I'm not going to be so arrogant as to suggest she is "padding" simply because I don't like her.

But it looks like we'll have to agree to disagree on this one, since there's really not much else to add to the subject.

On the dream I can agree with you, but on the order at the restaurant no, it is definitely an important interaction, which already has consequences and will probably have others going forward.

To me Lynette's diary sucks, even more than D&G but I can't deny that it already has its own importance in the story.

Similarly Madame, even if nobody likes her, is not "insignificant" like D&G, in order to meet her you have to go through two important choices (keeping the vip pass and going to work at the pink rose), and giving her all that money impacts the rest of the game anyway, for example you may not have money to lend to Derek

My order will be

1. Massive DIK manwhore (others)
2. Neutral Sage (no Jade or restaurant)
3. Timebomb Sage (fucked Jade and used restaurant)
4. Throuple
5. Bella (friendzoned Jill early)
6. Bella (dated Jill until ep.8)
7. Jill
8. Massive CHICK single (failed Jill run, hopefully becomes a Zoey path)
What if you fucked the Hots (Sarah, Camila, Riona, Mona and Lily) for free without using the restaurant? Would that change anything with Sage? Would that make it less insulting for her?

On a side note, I find it funny how I've never been able to reject Lily's advances, I've always kept my distance with stripers and prostitutes irl, they are intimidating for me, in the game I only fucked Envy once and that was it, rejected all the other Pink Rose workers.
But not Lily, there's something so irresistible about her. Maybe it's the fact that it's one of the first characters to talk to Quinn without fear and telling it how it is, she also seems someone fun to be around. images (24).jpeg

I mean the game's main focus is drama so it's to be expected that each Li will have their own shit going on. Imagine if we took all the drama away(that's like 90% of this entire game's story) we'd be left with just another empty shell porn game. I agree that the drama gets tiring but without it there wouldn't be much going on and the Lis themselves would become boring and uninteresting.
of course, thats how soap operas work, and being a dik is just that, only more lewd. But do really EVERY character/girl need such drama? I dont think so, some normality is a good thing in such a story too. I think another girl like Josy would be a good thing overall. I have a feeling Zoey will be another character where there is not that much "high drama" attached. But of course, the drama is about to happen if you choose a girl. But thats a different kind of drama, not "life threatening" Sometimes it feels just "too much" and that gets tireing.

But yeah, of course... the whole game is about drama mixed with lovestory and a lot of lewd content :D would be boring without the drama. no doubt about it... but sometime... less is more?

Great outro, especially when you keep throwing that 'just because you don't like this' crap without any arguments to back it up. Padding is padding, my feelings towards it don't play a role in my views. I actually liked Swyper, but it is by no means essential for the game, to the point that DPC himself removed it.

I'll correct you a bit, Josy isn't the only girl who can turn you down.
no you didnt understand me right here (but that you can blame that to my bad english)

Josy is the only girl that can reject you and after that you can still have feelings for her and vice versa. And there are explicit scenes for that where these feelings are shown. Josy is unique in this. If you get rejected by any other girl, or reject her, thats it... Josy is an exception, if you tell derek you got feelings for her after the rejection, you can get these scenes where you can see the feelings between her and MC, and there are several scenes, and these scenes are pretty intense too. Thats where Josy stands out too... so yeah i think Josy is a very special girl, and got overall the most attention out of every girl so far... and there is no way in hell that she will not get a solo route with MC down the route... there has to be one.

What scenes are you talking about?

Exactly. It’s kinda ironic, but that particular phrase, even though like should be less than love, actually tends to indicate non-platonic attraction. Languages are funny.
Gotta agree with this as well. It is obvious that both girls care strongly for another. Love does not have to be limited to a romantic relationship. I can see them treating the other as a sister and having a platonic love. Especially after the start of EP7 where we see Jill's sister who is a decent bit older than her. Bella could easily be filling that void for her. I know I never told my sister I liked her. It was always love.

talking to Swyper's girls proved extremely meaningful with Nora, Cathe and Nicole, indirectly helpful with Rusty's new girlfriend, funny as usual with Arieth, for now the only chat that is an end in itself is the one with the party girl, whom it is not yet certain we won't meet again.
Pretty sure the Cosmo girl is made by Dawe, so most likely DPC used her just as a cameo and shoutout to his friend/discord mod. And since MC refused to install swyper again, I think everything meaningful coming from that is already in the game.

I don't remember the girl's name, but rusty's last conquest also appeared well after I had deleted the application. And even Nora seemed to have run out of steam (constantly reiterating that it would be a one-night stand). DPC does not waste the effort of creating a character

Now I understand you bro. English is also not my native :). Most of my paths are DIK and of course they rejected me in episode 4. (I also have Neutral Josy/Maya so I know all their events). The chemistry between Josy and MC in this case is interesting, with Maya there is no such thing (except if you choose to go after Maya in Episode 5 and see a rather sad scene).
I heard from local pros that Sage also gives you a second chance if you reject her and that window of opportunity opens at the HOT party in episode 7.

I think Micha is Rusty's long term girl, since Ida (fat girl that used her pictures) said that she's in a relationship.

It's not a problem with the game, it's a matter of personal taste. I love free roaming, I like to explore locations and look for secrets. I like games with an open world to explore, as long as the content of the world is interesting. Some mini-games I like, some on the contrary cause butthurt.
What you call "problems of the game" rather speaks of your subjective perception.
