So I was playing through the game again to try a different path, and noticed a line MC's thoughts had about Bella's "marriage" and how if he knew "back then" what was really going on, he would have stopped her, or made a cry for help. I'm guessing Based on her reaction to spending the night with MC in his room, and how she loathes adulterers more than anything (which she says she became herself by sleeping with him), that her husband cheated on her and left her a long time ago, but because of some mental illness or refusal to let go, still holds onto the ring and hides something about him in the room that she keeps locked, and acts like they're still married. (she even at one point early on, in her head, begs her husband to hurry up and come home.)

Bella was crying because she didn't want to feel like a cheater, and what MC learns in the future is that if Jill were to join, it would assuage Bella's feelings of guilt because her best friend is saying it's okay. He would call Jill for help, and Jill would definitely help

And now I wind up finding out through Jill's route that the house you were having your picnic with her at is the same house in the background of Lynette's old photo with her closest friends before she met Neil. And this is after Jill asks if the MC believes in Destiny. Was one of Lynette's friends a Royce?

that still plays into the funny irony of Jill believing in Destiny; like it was almost made to happen that the two of them met.
Jill's route is also is a parallel to Niel and Lynette's relationship; a guy with no money meeting a rich girl and with enough persistence able to make a relationship work... Though I doubt Niel had to cuck an orange.
EDIT: On an unrelated note, thanks to this game I found a bunch of music to add to my Royalty-Free playlist.

The music is pretty great, I wish it was all officially on Spotify. It's a shame about The Friday Prophets though.

that's just the fun part about royalty free, is you don't have to pay for it, so it typically doesn't make it on spotify for that reason. At least you can find the tracks on youtube easily.
