Honestly, yeah, that dialogue is 100% foreshadowing it because Sage is absolutely right. A larger party that is "a full-scale party with everyone" means there's plenty of room for them to not even interact much if there are many different areas to be in and also so many people that they'll hardly notice each other. Also, "full-scale party with everyone" sounds precisely like a 2900 render freeroam with mutliple new environments and 87 characters that will include the DIKs, HOTs, Jocks, Preps, Nerds, dormies, faculty, and others.

She even says, "I think you're being too narrow-minded on that one", when the MC expresses his doubts which honestly is reminding me of a certain other someone who's also been arguing against it
