They would not accept any excuses or workarounds. All relations like step, aunt etc. would be banned.
Furthermore they basically told DS that he could not use any funding from Patreon to fund anything to do with BB even if it's on a different server or website.

They would not unban his Patreon unless all mention of BB was scrubbed from the page, and made certain that he could not continue any version of BB via Patreon, unless it was completely rewritten to removed any smidgen of incest or perceived incest via distant relations.

If they found any suspicion that he was using Patreon for BB, even if hosted on a different server, they would ban his account again.

Another Developer that have been hit as well, is Mr Dots with Dating my Daughter. He is pursuing a different method to try resolve this, but is not getting any money for February.

DS actually has staff to pay as well as other expenses, so not getting paid for February was not an option. He had to appease Patreon and that is why we now have Glamour.

Mr Dots still has 3,647 patreons and no game on patreon just receves money there , DS has 2,198 and in losing every day more patreons but Mr dots in still developing DMD from what i understand and is on his personal website that is the diference

His site is on hold for now but will go live once the new game is posted on there.
Its on here or the demo is and is an unnamed game so far.

As a leech I personally might not need to complain about that, but I damn sure would if I was a patreon for this game since the start.
This was one of the most successful adult games patreon for a long time, he could live with earning a bit less, while finishing this game properly.

Maybe because I'm a developer and small business owner as well and I know what his going through.
Cash-flow is everything. You do what you need to do tho get through with minimum pain.

No other considerations are above cash flow. Fact.

What's really to defend about that? When others like Mr. Dots continue to work on their game, when guys like Irredeemable and Luxee had to completely change everything and remove whole characters and still struggle on.

He provided new content each month, but he got a lot of money for it and it wasn't exactly a lot. The game could have been easily finished already half a year ago, if he wanted to, now that he won't be able to get money as easily he just abandons the game and re-starts another one.

Because each developer and business situation is different.

I applaud MrDots for what he wants to do. Maybe he had money saved up for a rainy day and can afford to have month without income.
Maybe DS end staff had a nice December celebration for a good year and he paid everyone bonusses for work well done and now has a credit crunch due to Patreon rule change. We don't know, but what works for one would not always work for another.

Irredeemable took months and LOTS of criticism and lost a lot of support going his route. He basically had to rewrite large portions of the game for and the whole thing took months. I'm not sure if he does it full time, but I suspect that he is part time at this stage with a day job.

DS made his decisions for what he feels is the best method to take his company forward.

I can understand Patrons dropping him completely. I can also understand the anger by some. But I think under the circumstances, that was the most sensible way to move forward for him.

If I understand it correctly, MrDots did not recieve any Money from Patreon for Feb. (I might be wrong.)
His Patreon page is currently completely scrubbed from DMD. And is basically in the same situation as DS at the moment.
I'm not sure how it is going to work out for him in terms of continueing DMD, but from Patreon's view, he is developing a new Adult game.

btw... I love DmD and hold my thumbs that it will work out for him.

I have 0.12.0.005 version of this game, I must download the updated version full? it dose not have another way to download some Updates???

Yes each update is the full game only but you can use your save games for V.13 if you want to.

Personally I think it was the right choice to have the game on hold rather than remake it. Only thing that I don't share is that in his next game he changed to a female MC, I think it would have been better to continue being a boy...

but it isn't done yet.

The game itself at this point is quite good, perhaps it would have been better to explore more the character of the aunt and Eric is an undeveloped character and the game is a bit grindy/luck based, but it can be enjoyed and I will still hope that someday he takes this project back.
