There's a blatant difference between players making choices about how the MC in a game will act (literally pointless in this game though), and addressing characters as "your sister" etc.

Before he was balanced out, the only challenge posed was that his magical influence over the other women was over-powered and literally out of control.
After it was reigned in, he posed little-to-no challenge at all. Especially when you understand the game's mechanics and the "Eric meta".

I'm not nit-picking. Nor am I responding with hostility.
Sarcasm and incredulity at the baseless assumptions you make because you seem to not be reading my posts or you need to re-read before replying due to lack of reading comprehension, yes. No hostility though.
Whichever it is, not understanding what you've read or not actually reading it, I've been consistent and clear in what I've written.
You however have changed from "I like how Eric made people react" to "I liked him because he posed a challenge", in a clear effort to counter my previous points about how badly implemented he was, and how he's a bad antagonist. It doesn't.

Again, you're seeing what isn't there in my posts. I have not said anything in favour of Max. At all.
If you'd even bother to go to the effort of looking through this thread, and even the thread for Glamour (and it's BB remake) you'd see that I have a crystal clear low opinion of Max, to the point that I have literally said the Max and Eric are basically the same character.
In this thread alone, I have pointed out how fucked up every single one of the family is, even Lisa, and done so in great detail and lesser detail in the Glamour thread.

Do us both a favour and calm yourself, read and understand the things I've been saying instead of turning into the same kind of silly people who have an irrational hatred of a Eric.
You might wanna take the chill pill, someone likes Eric’s role in the game popularity no need to get upset over it

You're still misunderstanding and equating me to the people who hate Eric for who he is...

I have never said anything against his role in the story, only that he's badly written and implemented in that role, and is not a good antagonist, let alone a great one.
He is an antagonist, but a shit one, because DS fucked up his implementation and the mechanics surrounding his presence in the house, and broke the internal consistency of the other characters to suit the threadbare plot he had been coming up with.

Now, I see your points and some are indeed correct - his implementation was flawed. In first versions he's influence was OP, in later versions he was basically a memory of himself as he was toned down to death by those who opposed idea of any other male than MC in a game at all. Friendship path was never continued even tho it was out there and his character was forcefully removed in a quite obvious reaction to crowds demand. Problem is that it was the only kind of mechanics BB had. Eric's op or weak, he was still the only gameplay element game had to offer. After his removal game ceased to pretend to be a sandbox and became linear vn with a crappy plot that was boring even for a dev. The case is it's not only mechanics he brings to the table but the whole erotic genre that's been in polar opposition to the main theme of a game and it was something fresh. Mother's new boyfriend banging her whenever he wants and trying to do her daughters sounds like a typical porn plot (but usually Eric would be MC) but is still kinda feasible when you look where the game is set. It's an incest game and basically nothing make sense here when it comes to characters - it's like a main attribute of these games. Eric's badly written? Whole game is badly written so what an argument is that. He wasn't a great antagonist because of how great he was written or set up - he was a great antagonist in an erotic game because of how he managed to bring that uneasiness to those who didn't expect that in that genre and piss them off. That's enough to make him a worthy character in standards of this weird, Patreon based market.

In comparison to the other characters, yes he is, with the exception of Ann, who isn't so much badly written as badly written and fucking stupid.
Alice, Lisa and Kira are much better written, and even though I loathe the little scrote, Max is better written than Eric as well.

Yes, and no.
Whether or not you realise it, you hit on the perfect way that he should have been written in the beginning. Like he's the protagonist in a different genre of porn game.
Look at how quickly he's able to start banging Ann, in her own home with her kids still under the same roof. That mother fucker clearly cheated and is using a mod to bypass content! :ROFLMAO:

Seriously though, after his influence mechanic (which doesn't really make sense other than magic, like whenever a woman sees Max's dick) was nerfed, the bigger problem was still how soon into the game he appears, and how soon he's a part of the family's life.

Basically, the pacing when it comes to Eric is completely out the window!

Now you're being biased;p In what way anyone else is written in a better way than him in BB? Banging your girlfriend in her house feels unrealistic? Even trying to bang her daughter doesn't feel like that much of a stretch (shitloads of similiar situations in real life). Ofc pacing is off and outcomes are porny but when you compare it to other game aspects it's pretty normal. Doesn't fit incest gaming genre but still pretty normal. Picking on that in a game about young retard who's for some reason trying to bang his whole family and they let him (even tho they all look like supermodels) makes little to no sense cuz this genre is built on nonsense and non-human-like reactions.
And yes, he came to the game a bit too early (after he supposedly met Anna) so a few addiutional events would be cool but as I said game at this point and without him had nothing to offer in terms of gamaplay.

No, I'm comparing him to the other characters, and the story that we've been given. As a result, what I've been saying has been withing the context of the game and the characters therein.

In what way anyone else is written in a better way than him in BB?
I've already given an explanation on that in the recent posts, and I'm not going over it again. Read for yourself.

Nice deliberate lack of reading comprehension there...

Your block of text can be hard to read.
It's literally taken me 10 minutes to read through and highlight parts for replying to, but this paragraph looks like it's touching on points that you're not showing, and leaving me to guess as to what you're replying to. It's certainly not the few lines you've got in your quote.

One thing I will say, is that you're forgetting one rather important detail.
Dark Silver was writing a story, with characters and their relationships with each other within that story. I've already highlighted the fact that those characters undergo uncharacteristic changes whenever Eric is around, because plot.

Those changes are uncharacteristic, based upon how the characters are normally, to the point that they seem to suffer from temporary personality disorders.

but as I said game at this point and without him had nothing to offer in terms of gamaplay.
Yes, you said that. For whatever reason, even though it didn't need saying the first time unless you too mistakenly think I'm arguing against Eric being in the game at all.
