I'll admit that Eric is a topic that needs to die, even more so than the character needs to. The thing is that for most of us he isn't a concern anymore. We've got our saves that let us start the game after he appears, and we're not likely to see new content about him anymore. But people keep on posting about how the game is too easy without him, and somehow then leaping to the conclusion that the only fix is to bring him back. Or to say that he wasn't as awful as everyone else thinks he was. Or to suggest that the only thing wrong with him was that he didn't let you watch him screw your family more often. I'm starting to think those are intentional troll attempts now.
So now I'll get to my list of what I'd like to see improved in the game. But before that, things I don't really see as a problem.
1) The cameras. I could care less that I can't access them directly. I don't want to look through a camera when I could be there in person. It's just more time spent rendering that could be spent on something better.
2) Not being able to leave the apartment. Again, I could really care less. The family members are my focus in this game, and I don't need to leave the apartment to get them. Besides, I have a theory that Max was kidnapped by aliens and locked in a holographic alien zoo, and every character other than him is really an alien in disguise.
3) Inconsistent character reactions. I don't begrudge having family members suck my cock one moment, then protest about me seeing them in their underwear the next. Or at least it's not a big deal to me. Rewritten dialogue for those scenes would be nice, but not high on my list of priorities.
Now, here is what I see as the actual issues:
1) The grind. It needs to be shortened or changed up a bit. I don't want a short, easy game. But I don't want to literally be fast-forwarding through entire weeks trying to get to another attempt at a bit of triggering dialogue, or having to run through a routine of doing dishes, homework, massages, again and again.
2) More fleshed-out sex scenes. I would love for these to be longer, especially for the first time. I'm talking about the actual sex itself. I'm not necessarily talking more pictures, although I wouldn't complain about that. I mean more talking, or more description. Or maybe more interaction, like being able to click on more options during the sex. Right now, they're over with far too soon for something I worked so hard to get to.
3) Expanded translation of the English version. I've heard a couple of times that it's better in the original Russian. It's still good in English, although there are many times when it does come across as a poor translation. When you cum inside Alice that one time, she talks about having to "drink some pills" now or something.
For the record, I am a patron of the game, although nowhere near the $40 level. I just can't afford it. The game itself doesn't have a forum, so I come here to discuss it. And like others, to vent a little. It was easy to do so when DS was that mythical figure, although it's a little awkward now that he's here
I do hope he sees the passion people here have for the game, and it's strengths and flaws as proof that he is doing a lot of things right to keep people that interested. There's a growing number of incest games out there, but I would honestly put Big Brother as one of the best. A lot of the conflict here is from people, myself included, who want to see it tweaked more towards our own desires. Except our desires are all different, and not always compatible...
