Well when I say that it is to address those that think Eric could STILL be a help for Max in dominating or helping Max get what he wants.
I personally am not into that but if that was a reasonable thing to hope for with Eric then it should have been done from the get go. Since it wasn't, No reason to revisit and try and correct that...

It was never about being "to hard" it was about wasting time with Eric. I liked the eric idea, just think it was poorly executed and balanced. If max could of made progress or had more actual content, fighting eric would of been ok. Hell make it hard, but reward me for it.

People seem to think that nothing can be changed or improved or tweaked after its been completed....

No he can't unless he wants to piss off even more people than he has now with the way he implemented Eric!
It is ridiculous and dumb for a developer to go back to a part of the game, most players have already played past just to make even fewer fans happy by adding more peep content for them.
The idea that it ADDS replayability is just flat out wrong. No one is going to replay this game a second time just to see the 10 or 12 new pictures he added for Eric.

Eric is the obstacle to overcome...The method for defeating that obstacle has been made!
I suggest anyone who thinks Eric should get more content should just play the game and OVERCOME THE OBSTACLE.
If you do then you won't need more content from Eric because there is already a TON of content waiting for you if you just give up on keeping Eric!

People who insist on LOSING against the Obstacle put in front of them do not warrant the REWARD of more content for their insistence on losing and not DEFEATING the obstacle put before them!

100% agree. A lot of people don't seem to understand that they are essentially playing a beta version of a game that is currently in development, and that it's actually normal if things got changed here and there. People seem to treat the game as finished every month and the next month is the sequel of such game, while in reality it's just a series of work-in-progress for a game that is based on how its creator wants it to be.

The trend I see from quite a few people here is that they seem to want everything and anything with little to no effort (and probably for free too if they aren't patrons).

WRONG! People treat each release as a CONTINUATION of the Story they have already played and really don't want the developer to go back in time to change HISTORY just to appease a few folks who refuse to WIN against THE OBSTACLE and think there isn't enough content for them choosing TO LOSE.
If there isn't enough content in your decision route then that's on you!
You could always play the game as it is intended, beat Eric and see all the content that exists if you WIN and make the correct choice!
Keeping Eric is NOT the correct choice...
You peep fans need to come to grips with that if you want anyone to take your word on Eric being a vehicle to challenge you in the gameplay.
Challenge the game and stop challenging the Developer to make a different game all because you refuse to win at the one he created for you!

Your view is one sided. You are offered many other options as well as those, such as just helping Lisa with homework, just giving Alice a normal massage, just sitting back and enjoying a movie with Anne. But you want the sex scenes, so you go the other route. You get what you want out of this game, and if you don't want Max being manipulative, then don't be manipulative. Course, that makes for a boring game. Your have the choice though.

If there was a way for Max to do a reverse cuck on Eric (i.e. fuck Ann), maybe people won't hate eric so much. As it is now, the plot leaves Max powerless to do anything on his own, and has to resort to seeking help from others. There's no real reward for completing the "sacrifice" route, as Kira doesn't "thank" max for helping her.

Well you have the choice on being good and sexless...
But a choice of being good and getting sex as a reward does not exist in the game...
But just as I say to the Eric fans who refuse to play the game as it is written...
THIS IS THE GAME!
Would it be nicer if from the start the game had these things incorporated into it?
Perhaps...But this is what the game is and DS should not go back and re-write the first 5 chapters which will only benefit those who restart or play the game for the first time.
He can change the direction and the nature of the relationships going forward and let them (and Max) develop into something nicer, more romantic, consensual and less skeevy...

But there is no benefit to the majority of people who are far beyond the point where those changes could be seen for DS to go back and change the entire tone or history of this game simply because he didn't have a better story when he started.

Relax, man. I never talked about Eric in the post you quoted. I'm talking about things in general about patreon-made monthly-released games, about how a lot of people don't understand that the game is unfinished and therefore still subject to changes.

On a side note though, I still worry about anti-Eric people seemingly being super angry at the thought of Eric. Relax. It's a fictional video game, and it's just pixels. Keep your blood artery safe.

I've played this game since the 0.3 version was released and I agree completely with what you said here mate, during the earlier versions of the game I even offered this idea I had for the game for it to be implemented. The whole Eric system was mishandled from the start due to the super powers that Eric had over the family, especially the Mom character. My suggestion to the Dev was to add in a 2 way stat into the game for this, one displaying Eric's dominance over each character and one displaying Max's dominance over each character and given the certain situations that occurred in the earlier versions of the game (pre 0.5 I mean), they could certainly have played out differently which i'll stick some examples below....

1) when Max catches Eric jerking off to Alice and the mother appears.... If you had the dual stats like I mentioned above then if Eric's was higher then Ann sides with Eric and scolds Max and if Max's stat was higher the Mom would side with Max and get furious with Eric and send him home that night.

Point being here that if there was a way to win in the earlier versions against Eric then the gamers wouldn't have got so angry about it and the game would have been a lot more interesting, by adding in two separate stats for each male character (like a "Rival Engine" if you'd want to call it that) and if Max's stat was higher than Eric's stat then Max could have had the support of the family over Eric as they would have always sided with Max over Eric, making the game a little bit more entertaining and challenging in a positive "gaming" way by having to keep your stats up with each family member or Eric would have the upper hand. If you constantly had a nemesis all the way through the game but having these two stats I mentioned it would have been a completely different game and probably not have so much of a divided fan base (The Max fans and the Eric fans) and could have kept everyone happy, so if you were an Eric peeper fan you just had to keep your stats below his in the game and sit back and just watch, but if a player wanted to win and become the top guy in the house then they could and they could win and beat Eric in the end.

The changes from version to version should be in ADDITION not REVISION!
Revision means the save system is useless and rendered MOOT since you have to start all over again to get the REAL Story now that it was changed.
