It's not that there's anything preventing romance and incest from co-existing. Many others have done it in stories and games. It's just that DS doesn't get the concept that they can work together, and seems to have some aversion or physical incapability to actually implement it. Which is a shame, because a lot of people want it.

I first played it back in 0.2.
For me it started getting lame when the porn movie thing was introduced (0.5/0.6 maybe?).
I think DS could have handled it better than just "Hey, porn family it is!"

Alice is the perfect example of implied romance. She started almost hating her younger brother's guts (as every other elder sister in wegs) and then started slowly falling for him.
Of course it's debatable that she only likes her brother's dick, but lately she seems to start caring about Max to some degree.

Max could use his expensive camera to make photoshoots of Ann, Kira and Alice.
Sister needs them for her blog and could sell them to her fans.
Kira needs the feeling of being adored and it would increase the reach for Anns movies.

There seemed to be more actual love in the Alice story than the Lisa one. Except in the last update, where things of course go awry. I think DS saw people talking about Alice maybe loving Max, and decided "not in my game!"
I like that idea. Or maybe Kira hires Max to shoot some of her porn movies (without other family involved). Then he has to fill in for an actor one day...
I'd argue that he already has with Alice blackmailing Lisa and Max and taking a more dom turn.

Given that there seems to be a sense of rivalry between the two, Lisa's downplaying of it doesn't feel right to me. At the very least, even if she's relatively sure that it's a joke, you'd still think she'd be terrified at the possibility it wasn't, or even that the video of her apparently screwing her brother would somehow get leaked accidentally. Maybe drunk Alice pulls it out at the nightclub and shows it to everyone? The fact that she just doesn't seem to care feels off. Lisa's emotions just seem more and more off in recent updates. Or maybe I'm just more in tune with seeing how poorly she's written now.

For me it looks like Alice and Lisa are actually together in making fun of Max, like they just want to mess with him a little. I mean, judging by what you guys are saying...
in the last update, Lisa said that she doesn´t get along with Alice very well.

Who knows maybe in 0.11 they'll come together in blissful incest and romance? Nah who am i kidding this is DS, blackmail is the only thing he knows.
Sadly at this point it seems that DS is returning to the Max must be dominated/blocked/controlled/threatened that we had in the early game. Once again we have not only talk of the military camp, but also blackmail material against him. While at the same time Ann/Mom is moving to BDSM movies, and Alice is going to become the Dom of the children's 'Fun time trio'. I honestly hope the Movie stays off screen, and the trio stuff is more Alice leading the group into scenarios where she is leader/script writer type instead of a controlling bitch. Of course, the way DS has done things in the past, I'm afraid it will go so far down the Controlling Dominant path that we'll end up at the camp or contacting the Hacker to remove Alice

As I wrote the spoilers a thought struck me that has me VERY worried. Who else thinks the Lisa caught peeking and 'Blackmail' scene were setup by the 2 sisters?? It was to convenient and Lisa is to calm/blasé about the situation. Yes, Max is the fall guy not her, but I'm afraid that the game may end up with Max as slave instead of our lucky perverted hero.
Gonna stop here b4 I scare myself any more.
