and then a hand full of people were spamming his patreon page (only the lowest brackets, i was a $40 patreon at this time and there wasn't much discussion about him in this bracket but one person, who later did like 80% of the anti-eric posts on his patreon because he felt betrayed or sth like that.)
after this he added the remove eric options and the backpadel post and the game turned into a VN ... if this is not enough evidence for you, then you are delusional.

Well most maybe forget that DS have plans all Eric's content to be release in 0.3 but he can't make it in time so DS split it in two-for 0.3 and 0.4.And after 0.3 there is huge negative feedback so I'm pretty sure he remove much of Eric's content in 0.4.It seems that Eric should have sex with all girls in 0.3.I actualy can't see how Max can recover from that situation and game will just go way too heavy on voyurism before MC can even make some moves on his family.

It's pretty significant that even those who didn't like this part notice how important design-wise it was. In this very thread DS admitted he changed the game from his original idea. He also said that he planned from the begining to alow player to remove Eric so some delusional people clearly misunderstood that as DS saying he didn't plan anything major with Eric. Is there any game here or anywhere on the internet that has a path that's been created just to stay unfinished? Friend path exists and that's quite of an evidence. In my opinion he should remove it if he can't finish it. With merging of Lisa's and Olivia's paths there would be no branching at all as it should be at this moment looking at the way BB is being developed.

Third the complaints about Eric were mostly due to the fact that there wasn't even a HINT of Max getting any sex up until that point (Hell it was only V3 when Eric was introduced and not many expected Max to have a lot of sex yet...just SOME! Most games have at least one sex scene by V2) and then it came to a head in V4 when Max STILL couldn't get sex and Eric proclaimed he never would either because all the women was his! That is when the shit hit the fan on Patreon. Because it didn't seem to matter if you friended him or hated him, Eric was not a CHOICE that you could win in any way shape or form!
You NTR guys loved it and hoped that meant someone was finally making an NTR genre game for you but then DS wrote on Patreon that Eric was nothing more than an OBSTACLE to overcome, not some story prop to make an NTR game as that was NEVER his intention. yes the content that didn't make it into V3 was the story where you can get rid of Eric which did appear eventually in V4 or 5. There was never going to be more sexual content for Max while Eric was around. That was the whole point of Eric. An OBSTACLE not a Genre tool!

Just a comment on the 'Kira' is the drive for everything. Max does the Blog and spider paths on his own. Yes, there is a bit off Kira in the Kate/Alice section, but that was just to get weed (and get rid of Erik/Victor/Scum). Lisa section had Kira as teacher, but it wasn't excessive (got to do things on our own during and after demos). I'd say that while Kira IS a driver in the game, it's mostly to get the Movies, and as teacher for Lisa.

The nice thing (and why I don't dislike her) is that Kira doesn't make me feel like I'm playing an Online game against a 12 year old with GOD MODE and extra cheats. Oh, she also has a VERY sexy Body and HOT face.

Just a thought.

The issue with Eric is that he is too ingrained in the game to remove, and not enough of a part of the game to be worthwhile. He kinda sits in Limbo. If you remove him, you lose a lot of the impetus for Ann's character growth after he leaves, as well as a first hand understanding of just how broken she actually is. If you keep him in, then you are left with an incomplete route that does nothing other than put roadblocks in front of the player for an extended period of time. He also makes it INCREDIBLY difficult in the early game fro fresh, non-cheating players. Unless you pull the perfect @a1fox3 run that he loves so much you will constantly be fighting a losing battle. It's nearly impossible without a guide to even get enough money to buy the clothes for the girls before he does, and you have to know exactly how to deal with the wallet situation, how to deal with him peeping, and the like to keep the girls un-corrupted.

That and since the gameplay in this game is awful you are grinding for hours, swimming upstream trying to just beat this guy, with no good feedback as to your progress. Even worse, while its happening you are getting practically no real sexy stuff to tide you over. Once he's gone though, the game goes from frustrating and bad gameplay, to absolutely NO gameplay. It's just click and wait, click and wait for hours at a time.

Man, the gameplay in BB really is awful isn't it?

I do think it would be interesting to do an Eric corruption mod which at least fleshes out the behind closed door stuff, mixed with a camera mod it would at least make that part of the game feel complete. I know though that wouldn't be toe everyone's taste, and that is definitely fair.

I think you could use him to be a pretty good parallel to Max if they tried to develop Max's character instead of keeping him being the peeper that gets to fuck his entire family. In the game as is with the Wallet opportunity you kinda get what would be a pretty good story if Max would start developing in the opposite direction as the dirty laundry begins to air itself, with both starting and finishing in each others places. It would could even be used to cut down on the bs of having to deal with the corruption as you progress through the storylines.

Sure you would have to change a lot of the post-Eric content and it would need a nuance that i don't think might be there if he wants to put the more NTR(although i wouldn't consider it NTR if Eric had misadventures with the 3 girls and they either regretted or moved on) stuff, but then again by adding more content he is backing himself even more if he decides to remove or expand in the future.

Just a comment on the 'Kira' is the drive for everything. Max does the Blog and spider paths on his own. Yes, there is a bit off Kira in the Kate/Alice section, but that was just to get weed (and get rid of Erik/Victor/Scum). Yeah, the blogging opportunity starts out with Max taking initiative, that's a good point. I would then say though, that in the relationship with Alice, he still isn't the one really doing stuff because access to her is gated vis a vis her girlfriend Kate. Kate is the one in control there.

Yeah Kira helps in the GF path, but she is at least doing so after Max has already gotten Lisa to agree to dating him, and he thought of Kira as a teacher, she didn't bring it up to him. I mean in the game as it stands, even if we take away him fucking Ann, he can go from basically raping Kira to her loving it. That is TEXTBOOK NTR. There is an Eric influence stat, there are several scenes of him peeping on Alice that move on to near naked massages, if you tell him about Alice's problems with liquor, when she comes home drunk from the club he is IN HER ROOM and it's so bad that Max won't look. And before you say nothing happens there, consider how easily she will fool around with her brother when she's drunk. I mean she will blow Max drunk well before she's willing to do anything sober. And say what you will about Eric, the fucker has seduction skills that Max can only dream of. So no way are they not boning in that situation.

As for Lisa, again, there is a counter for the number of times she has done Sex Ed with Eric and Ann. You do not make a counter like that unless you plan to do something with it, and I doubt it was something good. And for those who say nothing would have happened because of Ann? Please, that woman turned on her family the second she got some dick in her life, and Eric knew how to push that switch, she could totally be convinced to let Eric do shit to Lisa in order to "educate her".

All of these events are optional, but they are all in the game. All of it points to the ability for Eric to cuck Max if you didn't play well. I don't see how that's even debatable.

As you may know, I always try to listen to the players opinion.
Sometimes I listen to people's complains and change the game,
sometimes I keep making my own version of the game despite some pushback from the players.
Hopefully, the end result will be as good as I plan.
Sometimes I make mistakes, maybe even more often than I think about it.
The game has the main genre, incest. Some people are very upset with genres like NTR and cuckold.
Personally, I don't think either of those genres should be put on the game.
A mother having sex with someone else doesn't make her son a cuckold/NTR because he has no claims on her,
she was single before meeting Eric and she was free to find someone.
And just because Max got to fool around with Kira for a bit doesn't give him any claim on her either.
And, more importantly, the game doesn't deserve those genres because 0.4 has introduced several ways to stop Eric
from having sex with either of them.

I'm trying to tell an engaging story and I don't want to restrict myself by excluding everything that might skirt
along the border of another genre. For example, the game has some light-ish BDSM elements,
and it's not exactly what people would expect in a game about incest.
A lot of people like those elements, even people who don't really care for BDSM.

Please try to see the whole game instead of looking at the genres some people may place on it.

Ok this came up while I was posting my previous response. I do find the words that DS uses as interesting. Basically, it wouldn't be NTR or need a tag because:

a) Max has no claim to the women Eric is fucking
b) It can be stopped

by that rationale, nothing in the game could be NTR until Max was actually dating them. So it wouldn't be NTR with Alice because, Max has no claim, or Lisa on the Olivia path because of the same. And even if it COULD happen (which it does in game anyway) it wouldn't be NTR because it could be stopped.

It's a fair definition I suppose.

The thing is, if we were to use that definition, the only western game I can think of with real NTR would be My Girfriend's Amnesia and the School Dreams series. That's why it seems a bit weak tea when used as a claim that this game doesn't have NTR. I'm a huge proponent of not overusing the term (some call innocuous shit like My Sister, My Roomate NTR) but this game qualifies for that tag pretty easily. Hell, if we were to use that definition, the only western game I can think of with real NTR would be My Girfriend's Amnesia and the School Dreams series.

NTR is meant to give the viewer a sense of jealousy and outrage. That's the whole damn point. It's not something I seek out on the regular for that reason alone, I don't like those emotions, but hey some do. Every scene with Eric and Ann, Eric and Kira, and Eric and Alice are all set up to make you either jealous, or pissed. It's why people fucking hated him so damn much.

Oh, and man it is so weird seeing DS talking in those posts about game balance, when he hasn't done a gameplay related thing since I started following the game at 0.6

Edit: Wow, kinda funny that my 300th post is talking about this asshole. I guess DS at least did something right in getting us talking. Whatever part of our lizard brain got tickled by Eric the draw was strong. I mean, I hate the guy, think his gameplay sucks, but still here I am talking about his place in the game.

Holy fuck, you guys are really still so into this discussion. Eight hundred pages later, even.

I admit I have sort of a no-sharing "Mine! Mine! Mine!" approach to these games (I like feeling ... significant, I suppose) but debating it ad nauseam doesn't seem to accomplish anything. Dude makes a game and maybe changes some stuff as it goes. I enjoy it and return to play again or I delete and move on instead. Maybe I invest and get to have a say but probably not. Shouting my wishes against the storm that builds with or without me just makes me feel ... insignificant.

Full disclosure: Yes I hate what Eric represents in the early stages of this game and when I see that model elsewhere I still grit my teeth in reflexive agitation.

Yeah. We're maybe focusing on whether it's technically NTR or not too much. You'll find slightly different definitions of NTR wherever you look, and there are different ways to interpret those individual definitions. Maybe it's not NTR. That doesn't change in the least that an awful lot of people hated it. It was a colossal miscalculation on DS's part. I think it comes from him not getting the incest genre, and not understanding how people could or would get upset over seeing family members they lusted after and loved get screwed by some guy that was clearly an asshole. But the only person who could see that was Max. Had Ann responded differently to any of Max's accusations or evidence, that would have made a difference too. It wasn't just that Eric was fucking Ann and at the very least trying with Lisa and Alice. It was that he was turning them against you, and doing it so easily.

So Eric needed to go. In fact, he needed to never have been there in the first place. He still acts as a barrier to new people playing the game. He never needs to come back. There does need to be more challenge to the game other than the grind and the waiting for X day and time to come along. But it definitely doesn't need to be by bringing Eric back, or any other male antagonist. It just needs some creative or even not so creative thinking by DS. Except at this point, I don't really care about the challenge anymore.

I'm not, and I don't think that anyone is, calling for Eric to come back. Once he's gone it would be a stupid idea, especially in the ways that he can go.

The whole way Eric was handled was a misstep. It COULD have worked, but it would have required going all in on the possibility of NTR and making it a race for corruption. It would have required making the choice to be friends with Eric actually meaningful, and also required making Eric more vulnerable when you go to war with him. So you choose: Go to war with a superior foe, or let him teach you and help you get laid but the price is he's top dog, for now. It would still have the NTR whiplash effect that many people feel at the start, but at least it would justify his existence in the game.

We can imagine a BB where Eric never existed, but sadly that's just not a thing that can now happen. The entire front of the game revolves around him being there, and the back half exists BECAUSE he left. And with the gameplay as butt awful as it currently was even WITH Eric, I have no idea what sort of actual gameplay you could have now without him. Most of the systems in the game were set up to deal with that fucker. Now DS would probably be better off releasing porn comics of the new scenes.

Mainly, I want this game to be over with because the longer it goes on in it's current state, the sadder it gets. Even if we got sex with Ann and Lisa in the next update (which I know we won't), it won't mean as much to me as it would have even just a few months ago because neither character is as interesting to me anymore. I fell in love with my interpretation of earlier versions of these characters, before it became clear that Ann had an awful lot of baggage, or when Lisa was more innocent and the possibility of an actual romantic relationship seemed realistic. But Ann seems borderline insane from her past, and it feels kind of awful to be piling on to that by seducing her. Lisa, on the other hand, doesn't really seem to care for Max in a romantic way. He's convenient and has money, but that's about it. He's a fling and a sugar-daddy to her.

I do agree that the characters have more or less gone insane over time. Kira went from the lusty aunt to the honeypot manipulator. Alice went from the bitchy sister to a dom in training. Ann went from the overbearing mother into a broken drugged shell, and Lisa went form the kinda innocent but not naive girl into a sub who in no way takes her relationship with Max seriously. I'm in it for the scenes at this point.

I just don't see the ending of the game coming together in a satisfying way for me, especially the longer it draws out. I'm going to like Ann, Lisa, and Alice less and less with each update, and find the game more frustrating as it further diverges from what I wanted in an incest game. There's no option for romance, or redemption for Max, by either making him less of an ass, or less of a spectator in his own life. There's no choice that really matters. At this point it's just follow DS's story to the slow conclusion, and hope that he doesn't do it too badly.

Ofc he didn't planned to make NTR game. No one said that. It's an incest sandbox game with strong NTR elements and plot based on voyeurism and competition. And it's just about elements that are already present in game. Back then no one knew about NTR so it's hard to plan it. Your opinion is flawed by emotions therefore it lacks logic. All these post are known here. Calling people silly names and writing things in capital letters won't change obvious things
