Ofc it fits but NTR is Japanese term for a reason. Japanese adult games usually have routes on which you have romance with 1 girl. Harems are unlockable after that. In most of the western games every female character is romantic object regardless of her relations to MC. That's a reason why some people feel that every male character in a game is NTR. In my opinion NTR rarely fits perfectly into definition when it comes to western games. Incest games are even more complex as I've never played any Japanese incest game with NTR as incest isn't as strong there and differ a lot. But Eric for sure feels like NTR (I doubt any other fetish can affect emotions so much). I disagree it's a bad thing. In my opinion without him BB wouldn't be half as popular but it would be pointless to dispute it here with so many emotions around. Whether it is NTR or something else, Eric is a reason why many (I would say even most) of the new and old creators start adding NTR so calling him as such isn't exactly wrong. On Japanese forum I wouldn't dare to call him NTR but here it's fine due to a different character of our industry.

Probably. Mainly because the Eric stuff is both so hated and yet also so tied into the experience that you can't escape it outside of mods (and those can break stuff). It also doesn't help that the stuff that happens while he is around feels unfinished, leaving those sections an unsatisfying mess for all involved. That feels even more true because many believe that DS changed his plans for what to do with Eric to toss him out faster.
Then again those fans could be wrong, it's not like DS is any good at setting and fulfilling expectations as Lisa fans are now keenly aware.

Might be right but jealousness itself isn't as relevant as jealousness out of love in case of NTR so I think that it wouldn't meet criteria for this definition. But that's just one of many definitions
it's the same thing every 50 to 100 pages here.
some people like me or burt are pointing out the holes in the game with the whole eric story and the "gameplay" that stopped since 0.6 and then some individuals get triggered by the word "eric" and scream "FUCK ERIC; FUCK NTR" and it turns in the good old NTR discussion like the last pages. which is absolutely pointless.
i won't argue if it's ntr or not. it's just that the story/game till 0.5/0.6 and everything after that doesn't connect at all and it should be fixed. i don't even care anymore in which way.
this game needs a v2 remake, either the way DS really intended it to be (whatever that is) or the way the game progressed since 0.6 anyway and just adjust the "pre story" - delete eric and just make it the good old vanilla brother/son fucks everyone harem game - what it just is right now.

It's too late for remake.And I doubt his patrons will be OK to loose all progress so far and throw away an year.

To change subjects, I'm currently running through the 1.4.0 version of BBBen's Pervert Action Legacy game. And one thing that I really wish BB did was had more text in its sex scenes to not only get a better feel for the characters but to make the scenes hotter. We barely get a sense to how Max feels when he's getting blown by any of the girls, or when he finally gets to fuck something, or any of that. The one bondage themed scene in PAL with Kimiko for example pretty much blows away all of the Lisa scenes in BB combined, not because the renders are better (they aren't) but because the text, sound, and voice acting combine to elevate the scene to another level.
With the quality renders that BB has, especially with my girl Lisa, this game could be so much more. And I get it, no banality sim is going to have as much text as an illustrated AIF game, but with a bit more effort it could be so much hotter than it currently is.

All of this argument regarding Eric would never have happened if the Eric friend path led to you double teaming mom with him or the MC getting some sex. Perhaps even make it about a choice of Mentors, Eric (Domination) vs Kira (Sensual Seduction). Then Eric would be a REAL gameplay and STORY mechanism to drive future events.

Eric's only purpose was to make you work to get the Harem because DS doesn't get the idea of INCEST sans desperation, Mental Illness or Blackmail. He doesn't understand that trying to convince a family member to have sex with you is probably an even GREATER challenge than overcoming a blowhard bully intent on fucking your entire family.

I bet people who know nothing about this game and decide to play it for the first time don't get the impression that Eric is all that omnipotent or get that NTR feeling some others get...
Why? Because you can dispatch him within two weeks of game time while the rest of us who were there from the beginning had to wait and suffer him for 2-3 months.
Actually the definition you are using normally applies only to a single woman in the story not every woman who appears. If you apply that definition the way you did to BB then every lesbian scene in a sex game would also be NTR if you got to fuck one or both later on...Any Brother Sister Incest relationship sim could also be called NTR simply because Mom and Dad are having sex in it and you as the MC may be hoping to fuck mom later on.
At best the genre BB fits is already listed on the tags...VOYEURISM!
That is all that Eric provides...Something to peek at. (and not much content even for that as you really don't see much of anything!)

So you're saying Eric's implementation was done in a wrong way? I agree. If he was much easier to beat whole case wouldn't exist. I don't agree with your vision of DS's intention as in my opinion you're seriously misinterpret them and since those NTR debates at this point are being started not by its fans I think I have a solid backup of arguments. But we won't agree on that metter so it's better to leave it and end this episode of this pointless discussion. I totally agree with your first argument and that's something positive

All i wanted was a good fap, and what did i get? A hit right in the feels cause the best and hottest Char (Ann) is an abused woman by an asshole, then you know she was abused since child, then you can stop the asshole just to a new female asshole abuse of Ann and then the MC instead of save her just go and join to the abuse and she becomes a porn subject forced to do things she don't want but at least we were thinking Lisa will have a good romance path and now we know is not true, she will be the same story of the other girls.
I use to play BB and all the routes .. but now its so dumb. The game part is dead I am forced to grind thru the dead parts until I reach the clicking thru VN. I would like to scroll thru the VN like the other games , but the dead earlier grindy game part make it not worthwhile. I wonder why so few ppl complain about that , and most complain they hate Eric. I mean I have no issues with Eric whatsoever , AND I wanna remove the first part because its "dead" and waste of time. Maybe without Eric they got nothing to complain? weird.
I still waiting for a kind modder to split the game into the pre-dead game and the VNs after Eric is gone. That will be so awesome man

There actually no difference in ending the game in v1.0 and start a new v2.0 and 6 mths later having sex scene with Ann and Lisa. They are practically the same thing , but just that they will know they got taken for a ride for 1.0 for all the $40 donated.
Now by lugging the dead game along with the new directional VNs , u got a "huge" game which i guess make them think their support is worthwhile all this time.
