You raise a good point, but venting your frustrations is going to make the dev less likely to take what you say seriously. I personally view romantic/intimate routes as more erotic then blackmail/desperation which are pretty meh to me. One of the only solaces I can get from the blackmail and manipulation stuff is if it eventually leads to a stronger emotional bond or intimacy/love. This reason is why for me personally, and for so many others, the dissolution of intimacy/romantic routes sucks so much.
Take the vast majority of incest game out there, and you'll usually find intimacy and/or romance as either routes or outcomes of the blackmail, if not the main story itself. You have the other big ones, Summertime Saga, Dating My Daughter, and Dreams of Desire that illustrate that well. There's also a shit ton of smaller ones like Incest Story 1/2, MILFs Villa, Crusoe had it easy, Play with us, Daughter for Desert, A Zombie's Life and the list goes on and on. I can count less incest games without intimacy than I can count with it.
Intimacy/romance is a big part of the incest genre and I hope DS will do his best to try to find a way to reimplement it, because if I'm being honest what he was doing before in the early game, specifically with the Lisa GF route, he was doing a fine job building up to it. This shows to me that DS absolutely has the ability to write and add intimacy to the late game if he puts forth the effort to come over his self-made limitations. It would truly be disheartening if he completely abandons such an important aspect of his game.

To @DarkSilver's credit. He's actually pretty chill when it comes to pissy comments. Unless you go way over the line of course. Still not sure he really understands what people want, but we'll see.
I have a feeling we'll get romance this update, with Olivia. Which will totally miss the point, and still piss people off.

Then again, that name still fits it's real world setting of Greater West Eastern Europeamerica.

To be honest, i don't understand why that bdsm-theme in big brother splits the people.
Lisa learns she is submissive (like her mom) and enjoy the games max and Alice are playing with her.
Max is enjoying it to. The enjoys to dominate Lisa and has fun when Alice is dominating. No one is forced or being raped. Blackmailing by Alice is not really a threat, just her way to say what games she want's to play. Lisa and Max are enjoying it. This siblings all committing voluntary incest - the biggest taboo. So it doesn't really matters what sexual practises they do as long they are all enjoy it.
I wonder what will happen if @DarkSilver includes more fetishes in this great game (i hope this will happen). Will be again some people be upset when dirty games where played? I'am looking forward to this, because it is entertaining

Only reason I can think of is its not to taste, and feel that now its there, don't want it. At the same time, there are a lot of games here that hit my off button, so I don't play them.. But getting "Invested" in the game, then to come across a style you don't like can make one upset.

YAY.. Of course I think this was a SHEER TEROR after what happened to EA loot boxes reaction, instead of a CRAP we screwed people over reaction. Hopefully something that makes sense will be figured out.

Exactly this, when DS said he will try to implement it with other characters he was missing the point in its entirety. It's not about romance for the sake that people like romance. The way I see it is that romance/intimacy within the incest genre is twofold.
One it is a justification to cross that taboo, or in other words it makes the act of sleeping with family members ok because there is a strong emotional connection between both parties. This idea can even be altered a little bit in justifying any underhanded tricks used to start the sexual relationship. Blackmailing or corrupting my family was wrong but now there is a deeper love and understanding that came out of it so the ends justify the means sort of thing.
Two the idea of having a romantic relation on top of just sex adds another layer of taboo to it all. It's one thing to sleep with a family member, but another thing entirely to date them. It adds another dimension to the act of having incestual sex that, for someone like me, makes the entire thing even more exciting.
It's not that people are upset that the game has BDSM and a submissive role for Max, its the fact that theres no option to avoid it in the story. @Hawkthorn is right when he says that "getting "Invested" in the game, then to come across a style you don't like can make one upset."

These tricks like Magic and Blackmail are lazy shortcuts IMO and in most of those games once the sex has started they get back to the more romantic and consensual relations that the genre is about. So yes you use Magic to make Mom want to have sex with you but the fact is she still wants to have that sex once the spell is cast and not because she is poor and unwilling but needs money so she begrudgingly decides to make a porno with her son! With most of the blackmail tropes, she decides she likes the sex she didn't want to have. Lazy Bad Storytelling! But in the end it almost always leads to the place it should have gone from the beginning...The sex gets much more consensual and wanted after the ice has been broken when the best parts of most incest stories is the lead up to the sex and the breaking of the ice that starts the romance. Magic, leverage and Blackmail are lazy ice breakers.

The Incest relations in this game are incidental to the acts being written into the story. He could make the characters all be roomates and the game wouldn't suffer in the least. It's like the Cameras...

I could care less about DS taking my advice or what he does to his own game...His listening or changing his game based on what I say isn't a big benefit to me but it could be of great benefit to himself and his profits. He is free to take my advice or not. I'm just giving my honest assessment of his creation in regards to his attempt at making the best incest game ever...best Blackmail Corruption game might be a better marketing line to use. Those folks will LOVE this game! And while yes there are many unoriginal Incest games out there who use Blackmail and Magic as a crutch to get to the incest by the release of V.2 of their game in the name of boosting patreonage quickly, it's a weak unimaginative storytelling tool and ignores the true thing that makes incestuous sex hot as a genre. The SEDUCTION of someone who should never give in to it because they are related, GIVING IN to that seduction and WANTING to have sex with that person willingly!

He has been pretty clear that he can not bring himself to make Incest romantic at all. Which is proof to me he doesn't understand the genre and the only reason why incest exists at all in this game is for the Marketing tags because INCEST SELLS!

They didn't listen to us....
They listened to their bookkeeper who informed them of how much money they lost after everyone cancelled their Pledges due to the fact it was going to charge them more per pledge.
If they really need more money or are TRULY concerned with creators taking home a decent return then they should set a hard charge for the creator to use their service per month that will allow them to cover their infrastructure costs and stop taking commissions on sales.
