I don’t see that as a back out, I’m quite sure a B2 in english is more than enough to translate a porn game text.

Just wanted him to know my level. If creator thinks I could help him in any way here I am. I didn’t think this needed to be explained but..

Mi sorpresa fue saber que podías jugar al juego en Español, el cual ya está disponible desde hace días (y lo estará el día 27 por 5$), nada más... cuando esté o no disponible en estos foros no depende de mí, hehe (además, quiero dejar claro que la contribución a Patreon es para apoyar el proyecto, no sólo para descargar el juego; el juego siempre va a tener una versión anterior disponible gratuitamente, por ejemplo, cuando se publique la versión definitiva 0.2.3 también se publicará la v0.2 gratuitamente).

Pero tu también comprende que decir que el texto se puede traducir en un par de horas es desconocer la cantidad de texto que incluye cada versión y el duro trabajo que representa... aunque cómo ya he comentado, el traductor suele ser bastante rápido, es sólo que en esta ocasión él no disponía de mucho tiempo libre para dedicarlo a la traducción (este no es nuestro trabajo principal).

But you also understand that to say that the text can be translated in a couple of hours is to unknow the amount of text included in each version and the hard work it represents... although as I have already said, the translator is usually quite fast, it's just that on this occasion he didn't have much free time to devote to the translation (this isn't our main job).

I get all your part perfectly, no offense taken. Just bugged by the reaction here to my altruistic offer. No need to add anything more about this.

Creo que el comentario era más por lo de las "2 horas" que por tu nivel de inglés... yo seguro que sé menos y he tenido que traducirlo un poco forzadamente debido a qué veía que el traductor no tenía tiempo y que la publicación final en Inglés se iba retrasando; pero no tiene que ser lo habitual, el traductor que tenemos es muy bueno y a parte no sólo traduce, también mejora el texto (se pueden apreciar pequeñas diferencias entre los diálogos en Español o en Inglés).

De todos modos, repito, gracias por tu desinteresada oferta.


PD: Ayer terminé todas las traducciones restantes y solo queda darle un repaso... en 1 o 2 días será publicada la versión definitiva.

I think the comment was more about the "2 hours" than your level of English... I sure know less and I had to translate it a bit forcibly because I saw that the translator didn't have time and that the final publication in English was being delayed; but it doesn't have to be the usual thing, the translator we have is very good and not only translates, but also improves the text (you can see small differences between the dialogues in Spanish or English).

Anyway, I repeat, thank you for your selfless offer.


PS: Yesterday I finished all the remaining translations and it only remains to give it a review... in 1 or 2 days the final version will be published.

No, it is not enough.
I'm C2, yet an inverse translation (from your native language into a different one, in this case from Spanish into English) is not easy at all if you want to deliver top quality work. You need to make sure that nothing gets lost in translation, that the nuances and language register are still there, etc. Therefore, I would rather rely on a native speaker for such a job whenever possible.

On the other hand, if it were a direct translation (in this case from English into Spanish) I would do it in some hours without batting an eyelid, and I would immediately offer my help to gomez (obviously for free) if I had the time. But sadly it's the other way round, so anyone who wants the English version will just have to wait a little longer.

Hi,

BCP v0.2.3 "Release Candidate" for Patreons with "Contibutor" tier or higher was released today.
This version is fully functional but there are some parts that aren't translated into English (the last scene with Megan or the final scenes with Katia).

The final version, with the full English translation, will be released on Friday 29th for Patreons with "Addict" tier or higher.
And, keeping the 15 days of distance, will be published on December 14 for Patreons with "Conbributor" tier or higher.


I know that sooner or later the version will be published here, BUT PLEASE don't publish the "Release Candidate" without the full translation, wait for the final full version at least

You know that these are only script files, but the update from 0.2.2b to 0.2.3 includes a whole bunch of new renders and every scene that this new script tries to display is missing from your patch? Also, some old script has been modified, so the last scene wouldn't end with the message about 0.2.2 version end and this is also missing from your patch, so playing normally there's no way to get to the new part.

And even if you try to jump right into the new part, meg_intro for example, it won't work because of missing images.

So I'm sorry to say this, but right at this point your incomplete patch is totally useless. Thanks for trying, I guess

However, the file on SVS that claims to be v0.2.2b (3,04GB), is considerably larger than the original v0.2.2b archive (2,33GB). So maybe that includes the graphics that is missing? Or is it full of some other crap? Unless someone has a paid account on any of the 3 file hosts there, there's no way to know for sure.

I've looked for it out of curiosity but I can't find the 3.04GB links you say... bear in mind also that yesterday, along with the latest version 0.2.3 "Final Version", public free links of the old v0.2c were also posted.

In this version we had problems to have the English translation ready, so first we released a fully operational RC or "Release Cadidate" version but with some parts not translated into English... when I had the full translation, I released the "Final Version"... the content is the same, the only differences are: 1) Full English translation, 2) New scene replay system revised and working, and 3) Disabled the "Skip Scene" option that appeared in some scenes because it didn't work at all well (we'll look for another system later).

But no, it's not the latest version of this game... we still have a lot to show for it

I am aware of this, and it will be corrected and improved in future versions.

In the beginning, when there was less content, it was normal to program it so that there were more repetitions, but in its current state where there is already much more content, we are going to correct some repetitions (for example, in the version we just published, we have already corrected the repetition where you visite Jessy and she, by " mistake ", shows a nipple; now it only repeats once and in the following ones you have the possibility of talking to her (basically asking her questions; although for the moment you can only ask her about the fashion store, which is necessary for Katia's story. ... but she may be asked more questions in the future)...
