You don't need to transfer yourself, downloading the new version you should still be able to access saves.

They still happen, it's the fault of the unity engine as far as i know, he will try to fix it in future if it's possible

"last time" when was it? 2.1? I tbh never had an issue with that, especially since it mostly caused by the engine.. Ofc if it can be fixed fast i know a lot of people will be quite happy, but it's still not clear what causes that issue itself.
