New mechanics for what? A game that will never release? It's a porn game so maybe people want to see more sex rather than more (annoying) mechanics
Getting the sex scenes without penalty/Game Over (excluding cumflation) is pretty clever. It ends up being a game in and of itself, because you get the player to memorize how to get them (wall positioning etc lol). Playing this with a speed up/slow in cheat engine is a great quality of life. For example if a dog pins you it takes so long for the next scene to start (and the dog pinning animation looks janky) so I just scroll up with the mouse wheel to speed up the game 300% then scroll down to normal speed (also works with loading screens - including the launch disclaimer).
The reason I replay this game is because the sexy resident evil thing is pretty familiar to what I remember, plus the atmosphere is serviceable. Thinking of the sexy vibes they had with old RE and Revelations 1:

Appealing to mods is a cop-out to the point about direction and moralists dictating direction to companies, but that's another discussion. For example Capcom has DRM in the recent RE games (Village onwards), but even with the DRM the nude mods apply unhindered - they know a big portion of their audience goes for that. So they're playing both sides to capture the sexy audience and appease Anita Sarkeesian types on forums like Resetera who don't even buy these games but complain about the "male gaze".

Actually, if new mechanics involve now sex scenes like trap or team-up, I'm all for 'em.
But I guess it's more of game design stuff.

If a porn game, is only good for having only sex scene and no gameplay... I want to say, go to pornhub or play a VN

And I 100% agree, but things should go hand in hand. When were the latest zombie animations added? We get one update a year if everything goes well and the ratio sex scene / mechanics update isn't really 50/50.

Personally I'd rather they iron out the actual game before the animations anymore. They don't like doing animations themselves so if they can focus on actually finishing the game and then implementing H animations later I think overall quality will be better. It'll probably speed up their production if they can finish one part and then put all of their focus onto the harder part for them. That way you impatient coomers can quit complaining.
If a porn game is only good for the gameplay, then just go play a game.
See how that sounds? If nothing really new in terms of the PORN has happened (which is the MAIN draw of this RE parody) then of course people are frustrated when no real porn improvements have happened in 2+ years. Also no new core gameplay updates have happened either besides gimmicks so be real. Go play a real game.
