the Debauched trait works in that aspect ingnoring the negative impact of inbreeding thats what its says i think.
It's about a 20% lower chance of the negative traits occurring.
Hahahaha. MAC Port. Who uses Crapple for anything besides wasting money on. Seriously though. Your better off selling the crapple to someone who does not know what a computer is, and fixing your desktop.
Don't be an ass. You're acting like a Linux user bashing Windows users just for using Windows.

Not that their ecosystem is much less ridiculous, but you're seriously telling someone this while MS mines & sells your data :KEK:. A pinch of irony right there.

On another note, kind of sad how many would switch over to gnu immediately if they decided to support vulkan completely, Unreal has so much tool variety that I bet most devs wouldn't need anything else.

At the end of the day any OS is just a tool for a task.

For example I dual boot Linux and Windows and use Windows only for playing singleplayer games while turning off access to internet completely. And only if the specific game does not run with proton(wine/dxvk). If I had better hardware (and 2 GPUs) the most ideal solution would be to just virtualize Windows as guest OS on virtual machine and only use it for gaming. And meanwhile I could continue using Linux as my host/main OS and do work on it.

People who use Macintosh are much more likely to know what are unix-like systems and their strengths. Some of us just prefer to use unix-like system.
Don't be an ass. You're acting like a Linux user bashing Windows users just for using Windows.
That doesn't mean we absolutely refuse to use anything else. It's just a matter of preference. I'm sorry if Linux users seem to be arrogant, it's because of the retarded "my tribe is better than your tribe" mentality that many online communities seem to suffer from.

Macintosh is based on BSD. As is the PlayStation's OS. They are unix-like. That should be a thing worthy of mentioning. BSDs are some of the best operating systems for specific tasks. They are a true successor to the original Unix (at least I think so). MacOS is by no means inferior. It's just that Apple's decisions can hurt both the OS and the user. Same can be said for Microsoft. Hopefully your opinion should be re-evaluated.

And while I do agree that current ecosystem surrounding any mainstream proprietary OS is ridiculous, the situation is like that for a reasons. Users have chosen simplicity and ease of use while completely ignoring and sacrificing privacy. Computer to most people is like a magic box that runs on.. well magic. It does not matter what OS it is. They are happy with it. And corporations have taken advantage of the fact that they have monopolies and trained generations of people to know how to work on that one specific OS/workflow. And now we have that data-driven economy. It's more valuable than gold or oil...

But the funny thing is some PCs come with FreeDOS:FacePalm:I undestand it's because of the law but just why did they not choose Linux or any other unix-like system with GUI *sigh*.

And I must ask:
gnu immediately if they decided to support vulkan completely.
What do you mean, GNU/Linux doesn't support vulkan completely? Please provide citations and references. I'm really curios where did you get such information.

BOTN works very well with DXVK on linux actually (thanks to Vulkan).
Will there ever be a port to mac? my desktop's broken
I do wonder if it would work with Wine on Mac. But I can't test it since I don't own one. And there is also MoltenVK project.

Sorry for the long wall of text folks.

I get this. I just can't stand so-called "Elitists" that only know one thing. Not directed at any one person, but rather a whole group. The worst of this is little kids that own a PS5, constantly throwing faeces at anything not Sony.

On the Vulkan page, it lists Linux as a compatible OS. So like you, I have no idea what the guy was talking about.

Well it would be really nice if it were just a tool for a task, wouldn't it? You pretty much highlighted this in the following paragraph, it makes it seem a bit ambiguous, as if it were a "necessary evil" or inevitable trade-off, when it is absolutely not the case. They are well aware and actively choose to sell out and manipulate their users. And I truly don't think the linux users who bash them are ignorant, it's the people that are absolutely oblivious to sacrificing commodities even slightly (terms, data options, not rebuking malicious updates etc.).
I'm just saying...most distros actually do fit that description, but not windows.

Pretty much the same, I wish I could do that too, but the ongoing (hilarious) markups even for mediocre cards makes me very skeptical. Turning off access is actually a pretty neat idea I didn't consider, mostly use the windows partition for photoshop/rpg modding anyway.

I think you misunderstood, Vulkan has awesome support from Linux's side, I meant by Unreal. Even though they do have some compatibility for the engine, it doesn't compare to what's available on Win. And once again, it's almost surely related to the tons of contracts with corporations they have, keeping most support on windows because it's mutually beneficial. Truly the only pillar of trust left is if Steam and AMD reach their collaboration's objectives and open up a real alternative to the scam os.

Also, if you don't mind, can you tell me which distro you had best results with? If BotN runs stable that would be awesome to have.

Squark You know you could straightforwadly call me out on that if you want to dispute it, there is no need for 3rd person "ambiguousness". Plus you misunderstood, not faulting just saying.

Could you please share details how to make current version of BOTN work with DXVK on Linux?

BOTN version 736 runs great with DXVK, even with older version 1.3.4
Wild Life current version (2021-06-22) runs great with that as well. Unity 3D games run great too.

But I can't make BOTN current version (753.7A) run with that.
OBF.exe terminates with error window requesting MS Visual C++ Runtime. But I have vcrun15 installed in that Wine prefix. BOTN comes with all that libraries in OBF/Binaries/Win64 anyway so it shouldn't need VC.
I can run OBF/Binaries/Win64/OBF-Win64-Shipping.exe directly (without launcher) so it works just fine, but my console rolls D3D graphic errors wildly, game runs like shit, lights/shadows look like shit, some textures are just grey, most look like shit. That is with DXVK 1.9.1 installed in that Wine prefix, which should be up to date DXVK version.

I have identical problem with Carnal Instinct (UE4) game.

Based on that D3D errors, It seems to me like current Unreal Engine graphic uses some DirectX features not supported by DXVK yet.

Do you know fix for that?

Sorry for the off-topic everyone.

I just wanted to make sure that statements "they can't touch ___" (where ___ is your favorite porn platform) doesn't go unchallenged by reality.

how to increase height as in the photo
You can gain forms (and customize them inside their racial specifications) of captured Nephs when interacting with the Kitsune at the temple.

I guess in that screen it is a female or futa player having assumed a Titan Neph form.

I understand, it can be pretty annoying dealing with them. Especially the little brats. I remember the young me was a huge Microsoft fanboy and I acted the same way towards others just like those kids who now have PS5.

It's just as you say.. but the situation is likely to improve in the future. The knowledge must be spread and people need to be aware of it. Just not with bashing. It produces a reverse effect.

Ah I completely misunderstood. Thank you for pointing it out.
And yeah I agree that the only corporations who do something useful are Valve and AMD which will allow us to have a real alternative to this damn stalemate.
I've been distrohopping and for the last 2~3 years openSUSE Tubmleweed is my daily driver. I like it, it's very nice rolling-release distro.

Let's see - which distro are you using? Is it a rolling-release distro? (For gaming a rolling-release distro is a must, that's why Valve is using Arch as a base for SteamOS 3 on SteamDeck).

Which GPU (or maybe GPUs) do you have?

I had the same problem with many UE games requesting MS Visual C++ Runtime but I just bypass it the same way you did by running the executable directly.

As for Wine and DXVK, I actually just use the proton provided from steam client. BOTN from OP ran succesfully with the latest revision. I was playing it before replying and there were no issues with lights/shadows or textures or throwing D3D errors. The only noticeable thing was objects popping-up. That's probably got something to do with draw distance. Although the perfomance for me was also a bit poor (maybe the dev should further optimize the drawcalls?) My GPU is AMD RX 550 and I play it with average ~25 FPS on medium settings with 1920x1080 resolution.

Maybe it's just a bad combination of software and hardware?

Sorry if I was not of much help.

If you want to create an empty file (i.e. zero bytes), then type rem.> instead of echo.>.
Exactly, it doesn't really matter what creates the file, it's the filename/extension that's important.

If you have GNU/Unix tools installed you could do "touch imma.degenerate" as well.

I'm on Mint (cinnamon DE) and I didn't know this, thank you for the write-up!
I'll look into a rolling release with decent out of the box drivers. Would be really cool if something with high visual fidelity like botn worked.

I have Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS that shouldn't do anything with that. I avoid frequent distro update because it usually break many individual settings. It's PITA to configure everything again.
I have wine-4.0.3 it could do something with that VC Runtime problem but not D3D errors - I'll update to the latest stable version.
Vulkan Instance Version: 1.2.182 - I'm not sure about implications, it should not be old anyway.
DXVK version 1.9.1 is the latest, only two weeks old. Still it reports errors like
004f:err:d3d:wined3d_debug_callback 0xeef6d70: "GL_INVALID_ENUM error generated. Invalid buffer format.".
I guess that means the game called function with parameter of enumerated type using constant not defined in DXVK for that enum type.
Nvidia driver version is 460.91.03 but if it was a problem, DXVK would report unsupported by video driver, not unrecognized by DXVK.
HW is RTX2070 which for sure is good enough to run any UE game.

Proton is Steam thing. I don't have Steam account because I'm never gonna pay for games/music/movies/software in my life and I also don't want Steam to track what I'm playing. However Proton is still Wine with Vulkan and DXVK if I understand it correctly.

If I'm not wrong 004f:err:d3d:wined3d_debug_callback 0xeef6d70: "GL_INVALID_ENUM error generated. Invalid buffer format. is related to Wine and OpenGL. Are you actually somehow running it with wined3d backend instead of DXVK backend?
And yes Proton is a Steam thing. But there are forks which are independent from steam such as .
Also I'd like to recommend you to try out Pop!_OS. It's based on Ubuntu and it comes with Nvidia drivers preinstalled. I've seen many praise it.

So I've been having an issue with breeding after the OBF changeover. I moved the entire save folder with presets and everything. When I have two neph in the breeding yard they take forever to conceive and when they do the camera moves to the offspring, but its one of the parents. There are no stats to view or a way to rename or anything but "ACCEPT". The "offspring" even has cum splatters from sex. Going back to the barn confirms there wasn't any offspring born which makes sense why there are no stats available to view for your new offspring and why you can't change the name and why it looks exactly like one of the parents.

I tried deleting the "Radiant" folder, but that doesn't seem to help. This obviously seems like a bug, but I haven't heard anyone say anything about it yet.

Is it just me?

That's not the offspring. That's the newly pregnant neph.
The On-screen text should read "Congratulations! insert neph name here is pregnant!"

I'm not properly explaining it, this is all just happening after the OBF move. I've been playing this game since about the time I made an account here, going on 3 years. So, I'm familiar.
The issue is that when the offspring birth is triggered its not actually creating a new offspring. Maybe because it can't, instead it picks one of the parents to sit in the spot and look like a new creation with cum splatters.
I can't do anything but "Accept" after this happens. Literally I have to press "Accept" to move on. If this was a new offspring there would be the choice to set it free or even rename it. When I go back to the barn there should be one there named "some neph's offspring" since I certainly cannot rename it. But there isn't one there.

If everyone made the OBF move and hasn't had any issues breeding then its just me. I'll just have to troubleshoot some more later.

Thanks for your reply tho =)

Oh my, I just noticed what you were saying. After a change like that I guess I should have checked all settings. I went to check and sure enough "Pregnancy" was activated. I haven't had that setting on in forever. Didn't realize I should have checked that. Makes sense with the move I guess. But weird that no other settings were changed or overwritten.

Thanks again for your reply =)
