You have to be a boy passing as a girl to be a trap. If they're a transgirl they're not a trap. The trap is a boy that doesn't want to be a girl but dresses like one.

I can tell you for a fact that is not always true at all. Not something I am personally into, but I am good friends with a few and have never had anyone even try to force me to accept them, nor have I seen them do anything that direction. I work in the music industry and have been around a lot of types of people, including ones that you would never know about, if you didn't know them. There are certainly plenty that do, but not all.
