Thoughts after the March build:
Visually, the game looks great, and you can see the potential. However most of what is there feels thin. The world is explorable, but outside of the few interactable npcs and hostiles you can fight there isn't much to do.
There's no option to choose your starting race (or once males are introduced, gender). There's not even much of a baseline storyline to start. Customizing your appearance is nice, but there seems very little depth to your choices. NPC's react the same if you're feline or draconic, female or futa. And while there are upcoming options, I have no idea which races are even possibilities. The theme is egyptian, with some greek influences, we have cats, snakes, dogs, reptiles, horses (centaurs), void (demonic, and angelic?), birds and insects should be possibilities too. But with all these options, it's still unknown if the MC can be more than bipedal, and if npcs still react the same, what's the point? Personally I'm hoping more greek influences, in the shape of minotaurs (bulls and cows) and lions.
The MC starts as an apparent slave, can fight hostiles, and that's it. No fishing, hunting, swimming, capturing others is hinted, but will it be just hunting them, or actual breeding? There's already enough bodyparts that you can't carry them all, but outside of a vendor there's no location to storage them. Having a camp and getting followers is hinted, but not yet shown. Fighting is fluid and there are some options to attacks even with one melee weapon and shield, but no skills, no experience gain, nothing to make it feel like an actual RPG.
I understand this is pre-alpha, and the amount of bugs and crashes is small, which is appreciated. However I'm unsure of what the future focus in this game will be? They are saying dungeons and mini-bosses, but outside of gathering more body parts, what is the actual progression going to be? I'm following with interest.
