Whilst I personally have no particular interest in this aspect of existence, I nevertheless applaud Sakrilas for stating clearly and concisely in the overview the more "specialised" target audience at which this no doubt wonderful VN is aimed.
This seems to me to be unfortunately, in my no doubt limited experience compared to many, a not infrequent irritation in here. I therefore feel this kind of relatively small, yet considerate attention to detail should be noted, appreciated and applauded when it does happen, which is why I have (overly pedantically as usual I admit) posted this here and now.
Thanks a bunch Sakrilas and the very best of luck to you, your team and your devoted followers with the realisation of your dream.

Oh yay, new update and I get to play from the beginning again cause having to use my laptop as my pc broke.

Take a poll and CHOOSE 1 BRANCH! Cancel the rest.
I played last in January (like a 15 minutes max update) and got excited with a new update. I download it, click play, load game, END OF THIS BRANCH. This has to stop. So many updates with either 0 or little content is annoying as hell. I haven't played in 3 months and there is no content regardless of the game being updated.
Take a poll and cancel all branches except the one that wins. Or at least take a poll to see if people want the decision poll.
The character(s) and story of this game are epic but no content for months at a time is #annoyingashell

Sorry, but I don't agree.. yes they had a break with no new content, but the updates generally are quite good considering they are new updates in a month period.
Also, I like that it has branches, so you can see what a choice wil do. So I hope they keep that, if they only go with 1 route, the supposed most popular, there wil maybe be a backlash by those that wanted the other route.
Not saying you cannot have your opinion, but I do not agree.. as a fan of this game, I always look forward to the next update and have yet to be dissapointed!
Weighing in on the branches- it's going to be a lot nicer when things get deeper to have more than one story route- and this means that with each update each one gets a little longer over time. Especially if you don't care for one as much as the other, and the way they seem to be separating the niches.
Back to the update overall though- it's what I've come to expect and I like it- quality over quantity. Do I wish for larger updates and would I be thrilled? Yes. Did I even expect this little update anytime soon, giving recent posts? Not at all, and it was a hell of a pleasant surprise.
And then they go teasing me with the idea of Casey running around school in the buff.
I'm hooked along for wherever this goes next. Casey is well written and developed and cute, characters are good, dialogue and story well written and paced, and it's a niche experience that you won't get from every other game here.
I love this, and if this is what it takes for quality, there's no rush.

I personally like all the branches even if I have some preferences
I hope they will continue as they are doing now for both writing and rendering
I don't know which branch you are interested in but did you think that if there was a poll and the branch you are playing is not the one that wins
I say that because if I understood correctly you seem to want a novel more than a game

I understand that compared to other games out there, our updates are considerably smaller. I won't deny that.
I just ask for some empathy in this, Casey's Fall is a passion project first and foremost. That's why we make it free to play for everyone.
We're all adults here, I hope you'll understand that VelcroFist and I have our own regular careers, families and other hobbies to prioritize.
This update brought over 50 new Renders to the story, and to get those done we had to set up new locations, get more assets together, plan the script. There's a lot of back and forth to get each of those done.
We will not be increasing the size of the updates, or how much time we're dedicating towards the game. Keeping a healthy work schedule is important.
I see the fact that people are eager for more content as a nice demonstration of interest in the project, so thanks for that.
I'm sorry we can't deliver more or faster content, but if you bear with us, you'll always be welcome to play our game and engage with us while we work in it.
Everyone, regardless of being our patrons or not, is more than welcome to talk with us in our discord server.
I hope this message will help manage expectations.

You don't understand - for some of us your update have not little content - it has NO content. I updated the game after 3 months, load the save game and get 'this is the last content of this update....' It's kind of annoying.
Right, based on what you're telling me, I see you're playing on the "Shaven Branch, aka The naked weekend challenge branch".
This branch hasn't received an update in a while because for the past few months we worked on the "Unshaven Branch", not only that, but we also took a month break (there was no v2022-03).
You might be happy to know that we're currently working on the branch you're playing. The next release should expand on that.
All I can suggest is reading the changelog in advance before downloading the game. We always inform what branch has been expanded.
If it's not the branch you're interested in, you can skip the update.
That's the nature of branching paths. It's either this or tiny updates to all branches. That's why Triple-A studios don't do branching paths but instead do the "illusion of choice" where all your choices end up on the same path regardless. And everyone gets mad over that, too. Branching paths increase workload exponentially. If you're not seeing anything new it's because the new content was in the other branch. I don't mind personally because the game is great and in the end it means the game will have replayability but in the meantime it'll have longer waits for substantial progress for your own path.

Firstly, I wil say. Thanks for replying, it shows your dedication and devotion. Also as I have said, personally I do not agree with what some said about no update. As someone that works in webdesign I definitely understand probably more so than some others, that creating something new takes more time. In games it is assets, for webdesign it is templates and advancement in possibilities like Administrative tools in the backoffice, webshop options and such.
Just keep doing your thing, no matter what there wil always be people that won't appreciate what you do. It's difficult to please everyone, but I think there are quite a few that can grasp your choice and your workflow.
Combining something like this alongside a normal job can be quite taxing, so I just hope you keep going. Always looking forward to every update myself. But I guess some only like explicitly specific parts of the game and unfortunately latest updates where not for them.
Hope that next update wil please them and that your project keeps getting supported.
