You can just avoid those scenes. Or not. Your choice. The button is for unavoidable scenes, I think. I see lesbian scenes as an advantage that having a female protagonist gives you. Few game with a fmc however make use of it. The best feature a game can have is giving you the choice how you want to play it. Which this game does. So I don't see a reason to complain.

But it's not always applicable. Mainly due to high costs. Anyway, there is a female protagonist game about a failed marriage "Free pass". Where a dumbass husband gives his wife a free pass after neglecting her for three years. It's actually good.
Has male and female love interests.

Eh, I don't see why we have to belittle anyone with extremes. Some people don't wanna see straight content, the creator was happy to provide such an option, everyone's happy.
No need to whine about something that isn't an issue.
Last update was from late august. Release for the last part of the current chapter + the next one was "hoping" to be released late September. Given no word since I am assuming we're looking at mid-October instead.
Never actually said anything to belittle them, but I forgot that humor isn't always appreciated by everyone. I'll try and tone it down for those people.

You can choose which npc's to interact with, so there's no need for that either way. As far as I know, the toggle should be for unskippable scenes early on.

Does this mean that there are unskippable straight scenes in the game?
Or is it a case where every scene is optional (depending on player choices), and the toggle is just to disable choice that would lead that way so the player doesn't accidentally click the wrong choice and get blindsided?
Because my usual inclination would be to just play through and let my choices dictate my fate without using the toggle, but if I'm trying to do a pure lesbian run and the game starts throwing multiple unavoidable straight scenes at me, I can see why the toggle might be preferable.
This isn't entirely true. Platonic Love (friendship) and Romantic Love (romance) are two different things, and it's entirely possible to be in a romantic love relationship without sex. Asexuality is definitely a thing.A relationship without sex is called platonic.
Though even beyond that, when we're talking about kinks in porn games, it's certainly possible someone might get off more from scenes involving genuine affection, hand-holding, and the occasional cuddle way more than having every scene be unbridled savage feral lust.

What I read on the Patreon page in the beginning are some unskippable scenes. But I can't confirm that as I play with "lesbian mode" on. Otherwise the choice is yours.
