Quick observation:

On Chapter 17/Oct. 7, I get the teasing the delivery guy scene. Which is kind of out-of-character, because I've been playing in normal mode (as opposed to "Lesbian Mode"), but I've been making exclusively lesbian choices and avoiding teasing any male characters (and in the past option to tease either a male or female delivery driver I picked the woman).

Seems like an odd scenario - feels like it should either have been a female delivery person (based on past choices), or an optional choice to tease or not once a guy shows up (or to just opt out of the scene entirely from the beginning with something like "I'm not really hungry"). Especially since she mentions in her internal narration something along the lines of her having teased him multiple times before, which she definitely hasn't in my game.

Was just curious whether or not this was the result of a flag misfiring and showing the wrong scene, or just something overlooked during development (either accidentally or intentionally). Also kind of curious if this is going to lead to future scenes where this guy shows up in spite of me not really wanting him to.

ClockworkGnome the only check for this encounter (and many more involving no name strangers) is a "Lesbian Mode" on/off, no other stats checks, no choices, exact reason why i made mod above

Just as a head's up: vr 0.16 had this little gem in it, only caught it today because of another game.

I'd not actually launched the title (and haven't checked out v0.17) which is why I missed it the first time, but it's an odd one / place to have that inserted there.

Edit: Just pulled the v0.17 from GOFILE and yep, it's still there:

This is one of the only positives I've discovered on the site, so the Dev should be notified. Using Bitdefender with 06/09/2023 full updated client.

It's a false positive my man :) Its not unfrequent that Renpy code files gets picked up by AV, but they are harmless (not a virus)

This is not a false positive.

Given that this is the *only* positive found in over 250k files, from 150 gig of RenPy titles, think a little. Worse still, why would there be a "false positive" in two separate builds, both targeting the **SAME FILE**?

Ok, so I had to add some exceptions to get the d/l to work, but then ran it through Bitdefender (which wouldn't allow me to upload it to VirusTotal, it was that certain):

Same file, same trojan.

*shrug*

Listen or don't, but don't spam "false positive" when it clearly isn't.

hey cat in the bag: if you search thread you find that that same files has been reported before and each time said it's false positive.

upload that file to virustotal and see.

I would first suggest you to take a deep breath and stay calmer. No one here is spamming. We are all trying to help you understand the situation.
To give you some background info, I am a software engineer with over 15 years of experiences. What you are seeing is very common. I hate to "manexplain" but basically Antiviurs (AV) can sometimes detect a set of instructions (or even the checksum of a file) as a virus because according to their database that checksum or instruction was associated with a virus.
It does not means that the instructions are the same as the virus none at all. And RenPy games are often hit with that. See cxx link.

This is inherent to how AV works. So in that case, because it's the exact same file as before, and because we can open those files and read the code, most experienced programmers can tell you this is not a virus but really a false positive.

It's good that you check for virus when you downloading something, smart of you! And I know you may feel taken back by the quick comments some of us did, but we have seen that report a dozen times with the same AVs and it's a false positive. You may disregard our professional and educated information, that is your prerogative though :)

It's as regular as ever.

A years time ago chapter 13 was released, sometime this month chapter 18 is coming out. That's 5 chapters this year plus the second project he is working on which has had two releases since April.

It's perhaps a bit more sporadic, some chapters take longer to come out than others and the dev had one very long pause at one point, but other than that there hasn't actually happened anything to the updates of the game. They are still coming out at something of a steady pace.
