I really don't know, maybe you have some driver problems.
But you don't say wich operative system are you using -windows- machintosh-android?
Do you download the right version?
Did the pc give you some error when you start ren'py?
If yes wich?
If no, did the pc crash?

my bad windows. no error popped up. it worked when i download from the mixtape but not from Nopy its happened with a few games weird.

nopy as all links, sometime have some problems and interrupt the download, maybe you found the zipped icon, but was incomplete... I really don't know... sorry.
