There was no mention that this game does not support Win7 in the description, but i get the error whenever i try to launch the game.

Yeah I'm looking for an answer for this also.....?

I had to enter some commands in console to make it work.
Most importantly "sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - Fake\ Family.app" to codesign the app (not sure if other commands like "xattr -rc" and "chmod +x" were needed, but entered them anyway).

The codesign command doesn't work for me, i tried chmod+x and xattr -rc, both didn't change anything: i keep getting no permission to open the file.

I bet codesign is only required for Monterey and/or M1 chips, I didn't have to input that on previous OS versions.
Did you try to chmod +x not only Fake\ Family.app itself, but also Fake Family.app/Contents/MacOS/Mac_Runner?

Yes i did, still 'no permission to open application'

Also changed the read/write options for users through info popup, didn't help either

That's a problem with Archive Utility, try decompressing with Unarchiver or Keka.

When you are with Taylor if you click to go to the roof, you go to art class...


However for me it remains a great game (lot sex, funny dialogues ecc...), and deserves more appreciation.

Yea, I assume Win 7 users are out of luck. Google searches seem to show this has also affected some regular video games in the past few months with no fixes from Microsoft. So at this point is seems it is up to GDS to fix this issue for people who want to stay on Win 7.
