I don't think you know how karma works. If we talk morals, most of the COBD cast would deserve to die or at least end up in prison for life (looking at Meredith and Mr. Dickhead aka Alexis Connor). So according to your logic, the MC and Sonja are the last characters who deserve a happy ending after what they did, unless you tell me that a woman supposedly whoring herself out to rich fools is worse than killing ppl for money.
That's a good argument, but the same can be said about Victoria. If she hadn't helped the MC and also covered his ass, Baynard would've killed him, since he became a liability who knew too much about the shady shit that goes down behind the scenes. Without her, the Red Moon would've killed him in Ch7 (IIRC) on the spellbound path, and I don't think Sonja could've been much of a help against that lunatic. Both of them love and care for the MC, the only advantage Sonja has is that she knows him for much longer than Vic does.
About that "whore" thing you keep mentioning... Victoria is an augment who can seduce ppl and bend them to her will, according to Meredith, she's also a very smart woman, so her giving her pussy like it was free candy or some bonus to a shady deal wouldn't make sense storywise and ppl would stone Philly to death cause of the usual NTR argument. The only 2 ppl Victoria ever was intimate with are the MC, who needed 'persuasion' after he figured out what she was, and the chief of police, who surely must've known about the augment program. Didn't you see how quickly she seduced and KO'ed the two guys in this chapter ?? So yeah, saying Vic is a whore is an exaggeration you can't prove with arguments from the story. The only LI who was a hooker for reasons was Carli in DA.
Oh c'mon, they were in a situation where it meant kill or be killed. I won't say it wasn't a tragedy, but they did what they had to do to survive. What you said would be true if Luciana was their daughter... now that's some tough shit you can't go back from, but in their case, they killed a girl who was a danger to them and to herself.
