So I just played through the whole game for the first time. Did the dev just expect everyone to fall head over heels for Victoria? Because I found her non romance or spellbound path a big let down, and it doesn't even make much sense for the story.

It's a coding error or some bug. Try starting a new game and see if you get the same result. You seem to forget that Philly's working alone on this game, and he also has his fair share of problems both with the game and RL he needs to deal with, so why not take the problem to his discord and ask the man himself to fix it, coz I don't think he reads the comments in this thread anymore ??

Pretty much, yeah, coz storywise, someone with important info on Baynard like her is CRUCIAL to the success of their mission, which means she's waaay more than just a juicy fat ass and 2 big tits this time. Let's not forget that she was Meredith's right-hand woman and can easily 'convince' motherfuckers with or without her augment powers to let her in the building, so a silent infiltration is a MASSIVE advantage, especially when the enemy has a damn Red Moon on their side.

Don't forget that she saved him from certain death a few times even on the Spellbound path, so you might wanna tone it down with the hate and replay the game a few times first before posting. Victoria realizes she was just Meredith's lap dog and wants out of the game after seeing how crazy she and the ppl she works for really are, that's why the sudden change of heart. She'll help the MC even he treats her like shit, BUT don't be surprised if she stabs him in the back for that treatment, coz duh, everybody has their best interest in mind. On her love path, even Gloria admits she trusts her coz she feels Vic legitimately changed and wants to right all 'her' wrongs, so she has no reason to betray them, given that her ass is also in danger.

He default says he trusts her, no option to say something like "I don't trust her, but she's our only shot" or similar.

If you have enough relationship points with her, she has no reason to betray him, if you don't, Gloria will also say she don't trust her, but she has no other choice than to cooperate with them, so until Baynard is taken down, your MC's ass is safe. And if she wanted to kill him, she would've let the Red Moon do it. Why would she save the MC if she always wanted to betray and kill him anyway ?? It's ok if you don't like her character, or her proportions, or shit, that's a matter of taste, but she's very important to the story, and I bet she'll play an important role in winning the final battle and taking Baynard down, so treating her like shit on the Spellbound path is bound to bite you in the ass down the line.

Dunno, never went for a neutral approach with her. I recommended you to start a new game to see if you get the same results, tho Philly is usually one of the devs who hardly screw up players' saves for minor 'improvements', so Idk... it was just a suggestion. Try following the WT, maybe you'll get the results you hoped for.

You never said that, and I never said or implied that you did, but I just told you why Philly would expect ppl to "fall head over heels" for her, as you yourself said. She's a very important part of the story, and whether you decide to pursue her romantically, just hate-fuck her to take your anger out on her instead of Meredith and the higher ups at Baynard, or just keep it neutral/professional/whatever with her, she's a very important asset in taking Baynard down. That's why the MC asks for her help, no matter if you on the love or spellbound path. And if the writing seems bad to you in certain parts of the story, it's coz Philly works alone on the game, and coding can be a bitch sometimes, but future updates will fix that.

Joke aside, we can both agree on this, but there's 2 or 3 chapters left, so maybe this misunderstanding will be fixed in the those last updates. I personally don't mind this lil hiccup for the reasons already mentioned above and in my last reply, but you should tell Philly about it in his discord if you wanna get a conclusive answer.

I only tried her worst path (the assault) to see if it would change anything, it didn't. It's not something I did or wanted on my main playthrough.

Perhaps for AVN 3D games this game is the pinnacle in terms of narrative design, but otherwise everything is written at the level of some second-rate cyberpunk fan fiction. The world is quite banal. The usual corporate battles, the usual conspiracies, the usual human struggle against the system.
Of course, I'm not saying that the game was something on the level of Deus Ex with a unique post-renaissance world, but it's just an ordinary novel with ordinary heroes and ordinary conflict.
As for the girls, it's better here, but they still seem formulaic and sometimes flat. But what the author has surpassed everyone in is working with color. No one knows how to combine colors so cool and clever.

I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to say, but if you are suggesting to try his first game DA, then let me just say that DA is NOT a cyberpunk genre game so no, it's entirely irrelevant to what I asked asked Ten-man for - a better cyberpunk AVN.

If you are saying DA was better, then also no, not only is it entirely irrelevant, but most people will disagree with you on that.

Anything I say will be a guess because I don't even think Philly knows for certain and he isn't committing to a date to avoid the crying and whining if it takes him a week or a month longer than expected. I don't blame him...

However, I will tell you my opinion and what I am hoping... Popular opinion is that there are two remaining chapters, 13 and 14, possibly an epilogue or 14 may just be longer... All of Philly's renders and animations, characters, backgrounds, in world items are custom. Philly doesn't seem to use any stock resources at all. He'll start with a preset mesh, maybe but all his textures are custom works of art. So, it can take a solid five to six months to see a new chapter. So, given that the last update posted early September, late February or some time in March '23 would be the next logical date to expect chapter 13 with the final chapter possibly available by end of August or early September of '23. TBH, I am just hoping to see chapter 13 by my birthday, end of March and the final chapter before next Thanksgiving.

I have followed CoBD since chapter two or three... Sometimes the chapters are released as little as four months apart but more often than not, it's a five and a half to six month cycle.

Short answer for completion speculation... sometime in the next 10 months, I hope.
