I dont understand why the devs are not putting more work into this game, it has a unique artstyle with slightly interesting gameplay which seems to be enough for ppl to loyally overfund the game with a steady cashflow for years now. They must be making alot more or the same as alot of popular indie games or something considering how much time has gone by. Seems so unreasonable for them not to take advantage of the support they are constantly getting and just make a proper game. It cant be that hard can it?

From a speculative viewpoint there are many reasons. Things we know:

* The game has barely moved anywhere since the first release in 2016.
* They have been using shady tactics, asking their followers to dismiss any criticism of the game on various platforms (they even made templates for them to use).
* The previous game with many of the same people in the "lead", had many of the same problems (but there was some actual development—albeit minimal).

We can take the "positive hat" on and think their original effort was in earnest. They went way over their heads, as they made more and more promises in order to garner funds. Promises that they are trying to fulfill without having the skill. The bug fixing shit show that has gone on for years, could be an indication.

I, however, don't buy that perspective at all. There's simply no transparency. There's also not only a lack of consideration for the promises they made. They are outright seeking to quench the criticism without doing anything about the problems. There's also a complete lack of effort after their initial releases—as it is with most of these types of scams on fund raisers.

Spending 40–50 hours a week on a game for a marginal increase in funds... or spending 1–2 hours a week (max) for around the same amount. I don't know how their profits are shared. Let's say they each, roughly get around 3k each month. That's a hefty sum for barely any effort. They are in no way incentivized to change their model. Even if the project is finally killed by a lack of funds. They'll still laugh their assess off going to the bank with all the extra funds. They got from deceiving their gullible victims. There's no decency here, so I doubt, they have any sense of shame.
The problem is not them per se. It's their patrons not holding them accountable for their (lack of) work.

Seems like such a shame for a game with such potential considering the constant patron support. Feels like patron supporters are either forgetting their monthly donations or incrediably optimistic for an actual update with actual content. If they were actually passionate about making a game, it would probably have been a success. Wonder if they would ever react to a significant drop in patron support. Maybe then they might try something or give up I guess..

What they sell is "potential". These types of scams rely on this perspective.
Regarding the patrons I think it's a mix of both considerations. There are fools that genuinely believe more money is what is needed to get projects such as these rolling. The sunk cost fallacy looking at them behind their back. They'll be little networks spreading the gospel of this "game" to their peers. Getting big enough to build a community will leave an ardent core. Free PR and shelter from criticism. This is as much a work of the scammers as it is their victims.

You write as if this hasn't been a stellar success. As a game heck no, but it was never meant to be game. They have gotten a lot of money for little to no work over a long period of time. They had hoped for this and in this they are widely successful.

Regarding a dip in patrons. Every developer experience this from time to time. Should they have a huge drop, they'd probably try to salvage the situation. Put some effort in to the next few releases. I'd normally say that they'd then just become ghosts. It's not a love for the game that's driving them it's money. I personally, don't think, spurple has learned a thing. He will to my understanding, probably throw a childish tantrum... and then become a ghost.

Kind regards from Hajtand.

I agree with Hajtand. Even on patron the goals are just to fund the team and to fund a second team.

The game will never be completed, because there is no game to complete. There are no game goals to reach. Almost everything that is in the game need to be fixed over and over again. You think they know about gaming? Have you ever seen them have an update where its not a bug fix or the bug fix over shadow the 'new content.'

Thanks for the insight, seems like I should start looking at projects like this with less innocence. At least when they are lacking any form of progress at least ;)
I suggest you wait around 6 months with stable development. Asking yourself and finding out whether the project itself is also well managed, transparent, and if the developer is good at communicating his ideas.

to add more info about these devs... the devs actually found this website for some unknown like i dont know why how they found this place its really strange and they made some comments for "we are making this game for nearly 4 years" , and we users around here we try to ask and explain on why is this game development is taking so long with it but turns out their full sex scene animation will take "17 years" according their "calculations" and the devs seems to act fishy here around the comment section and then after i ask another question they just simply not responding here anymore.

Any similar games? Or maybe something like Stardew Valley but with porn?
As a general rule of thumb, it's not advised by the mods/staff to write about other games on the upload threat of a game (no matter how shitty a game). You can write in: https://f95zone.to/forums/general-discussions.9/ and make a request for games like this one.

I can instead suggest you go into the latest updates.
There is a weird funnel looking icon in the upper right corner—click the icon.

You'll probably want to use the [management] tag.
Going by this tag. I'm sure you will find exactly what you are seeking.

Maybe try
Tentacles Thrive
a rather small game but at least it is actively worked upon.

Than there was another breeder game but sadly male only so I did not bother to follow.

5250 patrons $20,340 monthly

how big is this team? 1 person? 2?
that's enough money to hire(half time) 1 animator, 1 script dude, 1 translator(poland and east from there) + 17k$+(pocket) monthly

All the patrons should just fund Subverse instead lol, although they already reached their 1 Million dollar goal. However you DONT have to fund them on Kickstarter to see the progress they're making. You can just go to the update section and look at actual game development, so hyped for that game to come out, mechanics and gameplay wise, it looks like itll set a standard for adult games.

Yo, i recently picked up the Xanth series books, by Piers Anthony. Its fucking amazing how easily one might shove this game into books setting for extra hard cover. I recommend at least googling it if some1 is into reading.
