Does the steam version contain all DLCs and skins like the one here? Oh, btw the gallery unlocker seems incomplete for steam v5.0.Check my tutorial on how to extract every image/animation/sound from the game -- that way you can get all the stuff that's in the game. Also check the OP for the "Extras", which contain a couple of CGs which aren't part of the game but have been posted by the devs on their blog.
Oh, I didn't see that there's now a "5th Anniversary Edition" update on Steam, which has been released like two days ago. So thanks for the information. And yes, it should include all DLCs and skins like before, but as I just read in the release notes, they have reworked the galleries and such, so I need to look at it.Does the steam version contain all DLCs and skins like the one here? I've updated my "Gallery Unlock" post (which is linked in OP) with an updated version of the bc.x file for the 5th Anniversary Edition on Steam.Oh, btw the gallery unlocker seems incomplete for steam v5.0.

I updated the Gallery Unlocker about a week ago to unlock everything of the new version. As 5.0 is the version now linked in OP, I've just removed the "old" bc.x file from my post.It seems the bc.x file still works with the new version, even though it now unlocks only a part of the gallery
...well, that will teach me to just skim previous messages. Thanks!I updated the Gallery Unlocker about a week ago to unlock everything of the new version. As 5.0 is the version now linked in OP, I've just removed the "old" bc.x file from my post.
Hello, I saw your response about using visExt while searching for information on visExt. I want to translate *Adventures Of Willy D* into my native language to make it easier to play. That game uses the same engine and I used visExt to generate an XML file where I found the game’s text, but I don’t know how to convert it back into a format the game can load. Do you know how to solve this? Thanks for your tutorial, I know this works as you described it, because I used it before ;-)
But there's actual an alternate way to do this, which will lead to better results, because you'll get all sounds/pictures/animations decrypted and organized (the same way they're packed into the game archive). If you read the "visionaire.bms" script you mentioned (it's just a script/text file, you can open it with any text editor), you'd have found the following lines:
Let's try it, shall we?Code:# I highly suggest you to use the VISExt tool of Deniz Oezmen instead of this script: # http://oezmen.eu/gameresources/files/anb.zip
Enjoy all of the extracted pictures/animations/sounds!
- Download the
You must be registered to see the linksof Deniz Oezmen- Extract the tool to your Desktop or another temporary directory (you'll need about 3.5gig of free space)
- Always read the README.txt file! (I will tell you what to do next, so no worries!)
- After extracting it, you should have a
VIS5Ext.exe
in theVISExt/bin/restricted
subfolder - that's all we need (there's also aVIS3Ext.exe
, don't use it because it's not working with this game!)- Copy the
load.vis
file from your Cockwork Industries game folder next to theVIS5Ext.exe
file- Open a command prompt and change to whatever directory your
VIS5Ext.exe
andload.vis
files are located- Two more steps, and we're done:
- First, we need to create a list of files encrypted in that VIS archive:
VIS5Ext.exe "load.vis" /force /generateNames=names.txt
This will create anames.txt
file with the names of all files- Second: now lets extract those files:
VIS5Ext.exe "load.vis" /force /names=names.txt
Done!
Oh, and btw: If you enjoyed this game, please consider buying it onYou must be registered to see the linksor through theirYou must be registered to see the links! That's how we can support the developers to create more games/content like this!
And as always: If you liked this post, please leave a "Like"
Unfortunately, I don't. My guess would be once you've extracted all the assets from the game and made your changes, you'll need to original game engine to put it all together again. But that's just a really wild (and uneducated) guess....but I don’t know how to convert it back into a format the game can load. Do you know how to solve this?
