There's plenty of games on this site that get completed, and many have a really good quality.
We wouldn't have any of these amazing completed games either if all devs kept spending 8 months (at least) between every release because they are perfectionists.
To me, CoBD and BaDIK are close to perfection. Philly puts out his updates every 3 months and, excluding the writing, he does everything on his own. DPC does everything alone too.
Maybe there's something else going on here apart from perfectionism. Like not having enough time to devote to the game or something along those lines which the dev prefers not to be honest about.

I couldn't do what these guys are doing in a milion years, all i can do is just sit back , wait and enjoy.
And comparing those three together, just doesn't seem fair at all. And it most certainly won't accelerate the speed of anyones work.

From my point of view this happens: developers today want to make a game as if they had the equipment of a great company when in reality it is only one person, instead of gradually increasing the quality of the game as they gain experience or resources to build their own team, they prefer that from the beginning it has a high quality (which is fine), but what happens afterwards is that they launch updates every half year, they do not meet the agreed deadlines or in the worst case, end up leaving the game due to stress or some other problem.

I agree with you. In my opinion, the wisest thing to do when you're starting off is build up a fanbase by providing regular, decent updates as often as you can. That can be every 2 months, every 3, every 4...
If you need to decrease quality a bit or reduce the content to meet those deadlines, so be it. You can still provide a very good game if the concept and story are clear in your mind while also producing very sexy renders. People will notice you're promising and start supporting you anyway.
For me, not putting out an update even after 7 months is an ill-considered strategy. Or maybe I'm the one who's wrong considering the amount of money some con artists like I****r or G*****p are making. Maybe it's an effective marketing strategy to make anticipation grow.
(Speaking about perfectionists, your English is more than good enough for you not having to apologize. Judging by your user name, probably we both speak the same language anyway.)
I'd have to agree with the critics even though I defended ttll in the past. 8 months for one update just seems a bit too much even if you are a perfectionist. I think this will only frustrate the fanbase, and honestly even himself most likely in the long run. I think ttll is a super cool dude (and definitely NOT a scammer) and the game is excellent and very high quality so far and I know you usually should not tell an artist how to do his or her work but if it continues on like this, I think this game will never be finished not least because it's probably super frustrating for the developer to spend that much time on a project and still stay motivated to work all the while people are complaining.
I think it would be wise to strike a balance between perfectionism and "getting shit done", maybe releasing every 4-5 months max with less content or some other compromise, this will keep the fan base AND the developer happy and motivated. That doesn't mean the developer still can't work on a big update perfecting the game once it's at least somewhat finished - but this way there is at least something out there which can be perfected rather than nothing at all.

People seem to keep bashing the dev, like yes there has been a ridiculously long gap between the development, but unlike other devs he has kept pausing his payments when his vocalized deadline falls short. I continue to have hope for this dev, if they were here just for a paycheck they wouldn't pause the payments and would be up like 3000-4000$ extra. I'm sure he'll learn from aiming far too high from this update and make the needed adjustments. Three to four months for quality updates is legit, I figure that will be the new goal.

Yes similar but Renders of TTLL is atleast 2 or 3 level better than arrota.
