One of the multitude of really depressing things about being a child molestation victim, is that it takes time for them to realize what happened to them was a very bad thing, despite their abusers assurances that what happened is a "totally natural and normal" way of expressing affection.

Also the "assholeification" of the entire non Family line of side characters is a bit on the nose at this point.
It feels like, "of course you have to fuck you family, cause everyone else is an asshole" at this point.

I'm not criticizing or demanding change from the dev, at all. The story is still good. It's their Story and they should tell it how they want, period!
But I'm also not going to continue something I don't really enjoy at this point.

Others have stated the fact that childhood abuse victims tend to be gaslit into not seeing the issue here.

However, for me what it highlights is the failure of their mother to do anything to take care of Ellie's needs. In no way is Ellie's behavior justified, but the fact that their mother knew about her abuse, and the only thing she did to address it was to stop it from happening again, is damning. So what we have is a person who was quite literally spoiled rotten by her father so that he could build the trust necessary to abuse her and keep her quiet about it, who suddenly wasn't being spoiled anymore, and all she can see is a similar spoiling going on for Alex, who is getting attention while she isn't, and so she, a child running on emotional logic, began to resent Alex for seeminglly taking away her attention.

Ellie is tragic, and I do pity her. However, she's 24, and she hasn't done anything to improve herself as an adult. So I still blame her. She's responsible for her actions, even though I understand that she's not responsible for the environment that led her to them.

I'm struggling with the MC's appearance, specifically the enormous jaw, am i missing something, she's been on puberty blockers and estradiol so she ought to have a very feminine bone structure shouldn't she? Everything about her screams afab, except the jaw, even on a buff guy it would be a pretty overstated jaw so i'm just confused by it, her twin has the kind of jaw i'd expect her to have so what was the logic/reasoning behind giving her this one when designing her character model?

Dude, i'm freely and willingly playing a game with a trans main character, i've got no issue with trans people, i am not put off by consuming media with trans characters, i brought up my issue and solicited feedback, i want to understand, i want to understand the reasoning behind the design decision, i want to understand why she has an atypical jaw, i am unfamiliar with whoever that woman is you posted and if i am simply ignorant of some women having large square jaws that fact hardly makes me asshole, i've never seen a woman with a jaw like that, i thought it was an exclusively male feature and given the MC never went through male/testosterone puberty, i was confused and sought education on the matter.

You're not a victim. Stop acting like one. No one is trying to take your rights away. No one is going on the news saying that you should be killed. No one is creating false narratives about how people like you are responsible for every major school shooting. No one is trying to tell you that you're not allowed to exist. No one is encouraging you to kill yourself. No one is telling "dads who carry" to go looking for you in women's restroom. I think because I've been staying out of a lot of the discussion about general trans issues (not sure if it's OT or not) in this thread I missed it. No biggie, probably my fault.

Personally, if Snax was open to general trans issues being discussed on the Discord server (even if it needs a separate channel for potentially heated topics), that might be a better place for you peeps to vent. Less mod interference - I'm really finding that this forum is a good place just to find out about games and find the Disc servers
