Can you speak for yourself or is "no one" the long version for you? I like the changes and i'm not alone with that here or on discord. I may not like every single change but it's a joke to say everything went to shit with that update.


I assume Arc will start a poll or ask his most trusted people what they think and how to proceed from here. What i can guarantee is that there won't be two versions of the game (old style and new style) at the same time cuz that would end in a absurd amount of work.

Or he just goes on from here and part of the community splits and leaves. Who knows.

The new models aren't really jiving with me. Honestly, people have as much a legal right to the models as they do the Koitatsu game that hosts them. IE: none.

People should get off their high horse about laying claim to models they made in a game they don't own. People who make their own models in some 3D modeling program have a better claim to the models they make from scratch. Not saying Arc is in any wrong for using someone's model, only saying the people he barrowed from should stop pretending they actually own them.

You seriously think most people are happy about how things are going? We got an awful update, the next week was a nothing update, Arc has been lurking in the thread but hasn't posted anything, and the timing of his computer breaking happening to coincide with such a disliked update is highly suspicious. What is there to like about any of this? It's far more than just hating Chloe being replaced. Arc earned a lot of goodwill with his record up to this point, but it has limits.

The old one cast a shadow over half her face giving her a much more sinister look that meshed really well with her dialogue.

Now she just looks...boring. Like a nun. A regular nun. Not an ex-pornstar nun. Not a nun that mutters "Cthulhu fhtagn" in her sleep. Just a nun...with a face tattoo.

Honestly, I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want to share the old cards. They're no longer supported. It's not like it hurts anyone now, especially since they're no longer offered on the patreon.

I don't have a good reason either.
It's kinda just the fact that I'm salty that I had to search through thousands and thousands of cards (even though no one fucking asked me to do that shit) and at the end of the day I get nothing from it since 90% of my collection has gotten a redesign.

Also that I ended up guilt tripping myself to oblivion.
Like, me finding more and more cards put pressure into Arc and look what happened, a rushed job made in a week that has the community completely divided.

Don't really pay attention to it, it's just me being a dumbass.

Some changes were bound to happen.
I have been tinkering with the models aswell and sometimes the hair or the accesories become a royal pain in the ass while trying to pose them. Especially if you're going to make animations.
For example Kana's hair and tail always clip through stuff or just obstruct good camera angles.
Morgana's tree like limbs make the already painful process of posing hands more unbearable.
I think chastity's veil clipped too much sometimes, I don't know about her hair though.

Also it's funny you post a picture of a leshen, since morgana's old model is basically a monstergirl version of a leshen.

I said there are three camps of being not happy with the update, being happy with it and between. No idea where you read one of them is the majority but you are already in wishful mode so i won't try to make sense out of you.^^'

Can't blame Arc for not talking about it here or showing up at all. This whole debate has little to do with a neutral conversation about the whole situation and more with aiming low for ball hits and cancerous behavior when something doesn't hit other peoples demands. Luckily we are all grown up, right?

Ooph see thats what happens when I decide to let some updates accrue as to have a bit more to play than a single event:
A complete rework with uliterally worse looking designs.
While not all are horrible monstrosities like Minotaur or hit with the blandness stick like Morgana I cant say a single one is an improvement to me.
Really not digging Arcs habit of adding that little chin portion either.
Most problems with the redesigns have already been brought up over the last several pages so Im not even going to bother but urgh...not great.

That aside...jeez can we stop kicking the puppy/Chloe sometime soon?
Girl already was the worst off in the entire harem with either being a complete drone or a slave in the body of one.
Really getting tired of the MC´s random bouts of absolute retardation whenever it serves the plot.
What is it with indie writers rarely being able to keep their MCs consistent(though I guess by now it seems more like he is a genuine selfish idiot rather than just having bouts of complete idiocity)?

It's Disgaea 4, though sadly I think that part of the game was censored... I would have definitely bought it off steam if that were still intact!

Far as I remember that was already censored during development so its not like it was in any of the release versions.

... I just can believe morgana's skin redo was that high, its was the saddest one to me... she lost her tree trunk legs to have normal human legs, and her bark skin is gone... I guess her face and hands might be an improvement

also i think you have cheaters cause 10 or 1 as a mode for all of them seems really off statistically

I did the poll myself and yes, the caretaker doesn't look that good in both versions so i gave it a mediocre score. So what do i see...quite a lot of those votes are in the middle section or slightly above. Is this how "no one likes them" looks?

I can't seem to open Chloe's door during mornings, sh*t, i can't even knock for some reason. I have all the spells and I'm done meeting the goblin lady for it. I'm in day 48 and i haven't talked to chloe nor slept with her in my playthrough. Plus, when i try to knock on afternoons, it gives me a message that she's busy with alice. I DON'T EVEN KNOW ALICE YET IN MY PLAYTHROUGH SO HOW DID I KNOWWWW??
Must be a bug or smth. Android ver. Btw.

I also know how hard the creator/s worked for this but I have an issue with the rock elementalist's forehead. It's way too big compared to the old model. Anddddd morgana looks a little bit too innocence. It's like she lost her Ara-ara aura or smth because of the model change. Gwen's yandere smile is kinda off too. I mean yeah, it kinda creeps the hell out of me but I need something more... Scary. One that would make me want to be always checking her up and scared that she's gonna kill me or smth.

Despite everything i said, the game is great! I really loved the bj scene from Veronica. Kinda left me hanging when I figured out that I can't fvck her yet
