TBH, as much as I hate the gameplay systems like the leveling/class system and combat being utter dogshit, one thing I don't understand is people talking how the game is hard.

It's simple really: don't think. Just take what deals most damage.
Either play Warrior with assasinate as your ultimate and cleave to walk over multi-foe encounters, also 1 or 2 ST attacks, and then pray for cait to heal you...
...or play a black mage with bolstering dance, fire wand to deal elemental damage, then the thingie that puts fire DoT on you and doubles fire damage so you can cast your aoe/st target and yeet the enemy, with Dracia being the only place so far resistant to being 1-2 shotted.

If you want to play anything else, forget it. In wanting to balance everything and make a good roster of moves, they fucked up and made a lot of useless abilities of varying types of damage, where it barely ever matters (using grease + fire or applying weaknesses maybe, where most weaknesses other than grease are ST) - in addition to UI being fucking horrific and swapping them out takes a year or two, and gods forbid if you ever used a mirror stance. Like, are we going to talk about how bad equipping moves is?

In wanting to make a character of every flavour playable, they not only made the races bland by not having advantages/disadvantages in combat (or outside) over others, but also castrated the combat by making it bloated, with very few options that don't get you raped because you got yeeted. The "retry form checkpoint" button in dungeons isn't a solution, the solution is making a combat system that doesn't fuck you over and you have more than two classes being able of hitting the enemy, surviving the enemy, killing the enemy; AND companions that use their skills well, because these fucking don't. You have a manual mode and by the gods, it seems that your companions always opt to use the worst skills available, as to what they could be using if you did it manually, but it just bloats the combat even more because instead of equipping them skills, they have costumes you need to swap.

Thanks for reminding me as I forgot to mention crucial stupid fuck-ups / design choices.
This game isn't hard, it's just broken in the worst ways possible.

Which moron decided that putting Level 6 as the level cap will be good? WHO thought this is a good idea?
Which moron decided that you shouldn't be able to powerlevel? There are scripted fights that we'll lose to anyway so what's the point of limiting?
What's the point of limiting our strength if we can just tone down the difficulty to CASUAL (story mode kek) in the first place?

Why can't we solo this? It's going to be a lot harder sure but it's impossible in normal and above unless you go story mode.
I welcome the challenge and I don't want characters in my party that I don't give a damn about.

How we play is something they can't control, They give us the toys, we decide how we play with it.
If it's too cheesy then that's their fucking fault for making it that way in the first place.

Just deal damage, right, let me try and land this hit after 10 years of spamming it.
Let me repeat the line where I miss 9/10 and enemies will always or mostly hit you back with a crit and the worst of all.
If the player falls, the whole combat encounter is done and counted as a loss even if you have allies still standing.

Btw, is it just me or is the game performance slowly becoming more and more unstable?

Yeah fuck me for wanting to play as a White Mage smh. On two accounts really, one being combat and the other being RP purposes. Hard to RP a white mage's fall from grace when there's no corruption content, aside from sleeping with Kasyrra. Which reminds me, I meant to say this in my last comment. The fact that your companions can find out that you're fucking the BBEG and none of them do anything besides say "Hey maybe don't buddy?" is just so awful. The fuck do you mean that they don't care? She's had a hand in making all of their lives miserable and is currently trying to take over the world, I would think that at least one of them would say "Yeah... I'm gonna go actually fight her? I don't want to be a part of this weird game you're playing with her." and then leave the party.

I miss the days where you could truly break a game and not have hard caps put in to stop you from doing so. If I want to spam Intelligence potions until any potion I make is the equivalent of using console commands to max out my stats, then fucking let me. Why are so many AAA and indie games going the route of "Nuuu, u can du teh funni meme tricks to hav fun. Mi werld is super serious and nut for funni." And then it's even worse because games are horribly balanced anymore, and because of streamlining and lack of proper dev time only one or two builds ever feel OP. Whether it's the warrior class in CoC2 or the Stealth Archer from Skyrim, they're bland and tunnel you into RP'ing only as that.

At least Bethesda uses their modding community like a crutch so I can get some proper spells... CoC2 doesn't even have the decency of allowing a modding community to form

TiTS always had cheats, and they even decided to make them into a special menu; debug mode, get items, teleport to tiles/scenes, level up, add credits, do everything. TiTsEd - an editor - has been a thing since fucking forever, and even still gets updated, if I'm not wrong.

CoCII whines about a save being edited every time you load the game after importing it.
You're not allowed to decide how you want to play; you will go through the Old Forest/Wayfort>Centaurs>Orcs>Shitsunes>WC/Frostmarch>Rapemountain>Dracia, and you will fucking like it.

That's what I'm saying! Like Etheryn is such an awful character. I just fucked the demon that made your sister a demon On Her Bed. How do you not try to kill me, right now? How are you so fucking pathetic? Ignoring the corruption points because they're meaningless, please explain why Etheryn would want anything to do with the person that fucked the demon? You can even walk away from every encounter with Kasyrra with a new demon transformation. I now have golden eyes just like the demon y'all. Maybe don't trust me anymore?!

Which reminds me about the whole "CoC1 was about corrupting your body, CoC2 is about corrupting your soul," again. In CoC1, you could reach 100 corruption and be a regular human, just be a fucked up person EZ. You'd get perks like corrupted libido sure, but no physical changes other than that. However, you would drastically become an overall more evil person (Soul). In CoC2, you can really only be a White Knight(TM) that bangs the demon lady and end up with a corrupted body to show for it (bigger breasts, bigger dick, demon eyes, etc). So... I think the statement is backwards. CoC1 was all about corrupting your soul, since you could corrupt pretty much everyone and be an all-around shitty person. CoC2 is about corrupting your body, because your soul is already predetermined by the current author's whims.

I am aware of that, that is why I added "and joins some sort of guild under Garth & Brother Sanders" in the unquoted part of my comment. My point is the basic premise is ok without the meeting with Kas right at the start where it sets her up as a universe-wide threat that only you can stop because of your special soul. Instead of recovering at the Frost Hound after that fight you'd just join Garth's guild & that is why you'd suddenly start getting involved in other people's messes before you'd become aware of Kas.

If CoC2 was it's own tittle, called PUSS (Priestess' Unbelievable Succubi Suppression) or something and Cait was the main character, who gets pissed as Kas for causing her sister to be kidnapped and goes on Crusade to fight her, gathering the usual companions and focusing on their relationships and dynamic. I wonder what sort of game that would be. It will be mostly the same, but the plot perception and expectations are probably going to change a lot.

I probably wouldn't have played that as I don't play female protag porn games because it's either gonna be dick simulator or lesbian sex. 100% of the time I'm not into the former, and 90% of the time not interested in the latter.
