I think the level of upset at things gets conflated. Disliking content does no have to mean full on frothing rage. I have a huge amount of disdain for Savin but that does no mean I walk around with a constant (metaphorical) hateboner for the guy. I find it very strange that any stated point of view expressed seems to get interpreted to the max. And to head off the inevitable "well you posted about it on a forum, you must care a great deal." argument, doing so takes very little time or effort so no.

But I would recommend considering that this particular forum of over 1.2k pages in which I could absolutely, without much exaggerating, say that roughly half of it is complaining about the same shit over and over, with it usually involving the same people, for more or less last 4 years.

That doesn't mean I don't advocate for people having FEELINGS, that's a fucking absurd statement, but there is such a thing as being TOO attached and needing to take a step back and practice a bit of temperance.

This is such wish-washy post. We're allowed to have feelings but only ones you approve of? Should we also tell people who love the content and get excited about it to stop doing that because they're too invested? Or is it only negative feelings that need to be policed? I don't think most people here stretch that threshold. The emotion of 'distaste' for things you dislike color your response. In the same way that horror games scare the socks off of me and games that don't scare the socks off of me are rather poor horror games indeed, erotic games that are designed to get your rocks off, failing to do just that, are a poor erotic game indeed.

And the feeling of both aspects is mild disappointment. Well major disappointment for a horror game as that's a 60 (soon to be 70 standard) USD investment for a poor product.

This annoyed the mess out of me, all they had to do was stop making

mide Berwyn was made by a different writer called HugsAlright. Due to drama (devs say he would disappear and impossible to work with due to anger issues, Hugs says he had mental health issues and was unfairly booted), Berwyn was passed off to a different writer, B, to work on. B already had his own companion and it wasn't feasible for him to work on both, so as far as I know it was decided around then that they would eventually get rid of Berwyn as a companion but they decided not to tell the public that.

Fast forward to them announcing Berwyn getting new content via B. People who like Berwyn are excited. The content comes out and they announce that Berwyn is considered "feature complete" and will be removed from companion status and turned into an npc. When it launched, there was no way to access Berwyn's old scenes but devs have since said that the old ones will be patched back in.

The reasons for getting rid of Berywn were no dedicated writer for him (idk if B himself said it was too much or Savin didn't want B doing 2 companions), he had very little to no party/quest interactions (because they had decided before he was getting axed so writer's didn't bother?). B also decided to go gung-ho on all of different body configuration for Berwyn in his new content - because he knew he wouldn't have to deal with it once Berwyn got removed as a companion. So if there was ever any hope of someone else taking him up (which I doubt), now they have to deal with the various different parsers and ~more complicated code~ for Berwyn.

That's how it went down as far as I understand it. I have no idea what Raf-Raf is talking about with polls and such (they hid Berwyn getting axed from the public until the patch with his new content dropped), someone get him another cactus.

Damn, it's almost like all they had to do was just wrap up his content and leave him as is...
At least this is the only decision that has heavily irked me so far with this game, can't have everything go my way.
It's just fresh pain because I was late to do his quest and I've followed their games for years but don't really look at the polls, I assumed he was gonna be back in my party afterwards. Now I have to go out of my way to interact with my favorite character.

presumably it's never going to happen. IIRC the 'solution' was to not do the expansion. But this is old knowledge. Who knows what's changed internally.

My honest answer is I don't know. Something about him just clicked, if that makes sense. Also big-dicked femboys are easily S-Tier wdym? Nikol is easily my favorite part of Khor'Minos.

One was because Bubs wasn't very active in the Discord because of his Super-Important-High-Paying-Job™. Two because Bubs was apparently writing an expac for the character the guy was asking for, so he should just wait for at least five or so years for it to finish. Three if Bubs is active in the server he only talks with the regulars and mostly talks about his Super-Important-High-Paying-Job™ and (I think the user only said it jokingly) his "adequate penis".
