There's a romance system, one of the available characters is a druid, said druid can shapeshift into a bear. Like all AAA games with sex scenes it's just a pan away fade to black scenario but they featured it in some of the marketing and the internet latched onto it. It's mostly played for laughs given part of the fade to black has a squirrel dropping a nut while his eyes widen, they knew what they were doing.

Not all AAA games. For all its faults DA: Inquisition did not fade to black the sex scenes.

That sounds like some fresh additions at a baseline, so I probably should take a look at it. How's the quality of the smut compared to the vanilla game? That's what usually turns me away from the mods sooner or later, because the difference is just too glaring.

Despite putting in at least an hour or two into it, the only real change in scenes I've seen so far is during an experimental run to see everything that could be offered, you basically have the option to rape some girl in like a white summer dress or something (I forget what she was wearing), with the option to back out of it if you want. Naturally, the scene paints you out as a creeper since your character just throws her down while she's all confused.

I don't remember if extreme violence was ever in the vanilla game, but if it wasn't, then the hgg mod added it, because I saw a womb fuck option for the goblin girl. And no, it's not one of those extreme penetrations either.

The original game had some pretty dark stuff but I think some or most of it was removed at some point & mellowed down a little. So you're saying that HGG doesn't really add many new scenes? The Goblin stuff certainly must have been added tho, I'm 99% sure there was nothing of that caliber as a win-scene. Anyways we probably shouldn't discuss CoC 1 mods in the CoC 2 thread, probably not exactly on topic.

I'd say CoC1 discussion is pretty on topic as a reflection of CoC2s abject failure. Or maybe abstract failure since somehow they are still making money at it, but then some people pay millions for a banana duct taped to a wall.

" If i had to name some "gripes" it has to be the combat.I dont get why devs care about it so much as to keep having patches(like the latest one) dedicated or having many changes to it.Back in coc1 the combat was just the medium used to get the sex scenes and nothing else.And that was perfect,that was how it should be.But now someone can say "But the surrender button exists so you can get the scenes easily so where is the problem?".I agree the surrender button is immensly helpful BUT the problem comes with the existance of these combat related patches.The team behind coc2(devs writers coders etc) is a relatively small team so by dedicating time and recources to making irrelevant patches(Yes i consider combat to be irrelevant since this is a porn game and its only function should be to serve as a medium to have sex.Plus since power fantasy is close to none in the game combat really doesnt matter) they are wasting precious tim,e they could have used to make the game better.So either ignore the combat completely and focus soley on the porn game aspect of a porn game keko or,i dare to say,enable some power fantasy in your fantasy game! Combat is the only saving grace for this game. There is no corruption, the main plot moves at a snails pace, and the smut consisting of long essays mostly about futa is not for everyone.

Yeah, it's too convoluted to just be a means to an end, but at the same time there is nothing to the way it is described which means that there would have to be decent visuals which don't exist at all.

My problem isnt that the combat sucks(which it does btw and it being an indie game is not excuse with the amount of money they pull each month) its that they KNOW that nobody gives a fuck and only wants the sex but they choose to focus on it.Thats just them spitting on our face

Well the entire game is self-service of the writers at this point. The targeted audience are themselves, they want to pretend that CoC 2 is a serious RPG first and foremost with the smut being only the secondary aspect and thus they try to create a pointlessly complex combat system ignoring the fact that combat in written form is always challenging to make even remotely engaging, and then they decided to limit the only character who can really choose between a vast array of skills/spells to mostly irrelevant abilities.

Bloat, being funded by broken people who just want a good porn/space game, no real planning outside of make thing eventually, several features crammed into the game that mostly lead to dead ends, and while they haven't really made a side game like SC did, the writers of each OC wants them so hard to be the center of the universe that it feels like you're playing a different plot.

Bloat, being funded by broken people who just want a good porn/space game, no real planning outside of make thing eventually, several features crammed into the game that mostly lead to dead ends, and while they haven't really made a side game like SC did, the writers of each OC wants them so hard to be the center of the universe that it feels like you're playing a different plot.

And then add to that the inability of the lead writers to take any criticism to their antics, the biotope they created on their own forums, where they only get to hear completely delusional praise for mediocrity & they also seem to basically work against anyone who is just adding commissions, most notably doing the exact things they get furious about when it comes to their OCs to the "lesser writers" OCs.
