SPEAKING OF THE THIEF:

I just realized why i find their passive "Twist the Knife" so lame compared to other passives and that is: Twist the Knife let's you do extra damage when you attack an enemy that currently has 1 or more debuff on them (this sounds good in theory) THE PROBLEM is that the debuffs system in CoCII actively RUINS this in practice, what do i mean? simple:

When you Debuff an enemy those debuffs are set up to end "after x ammount of enemy turns" and the enemies tend to have 2 turns per round (if not more with bosses) while you only got 1 turn per round, meaning that the next round they'll almost always be fine/back to normal because all the turns the debuff lasted were used up and you NEVER get to pull off Twist the Knife cuz of the "debuff effective for 1-2 turns" bullshit that got rid of it in the previous round of combat!

A MUCH BETTER way to do it would be to make the debuffs work the same way as DnD ones do, and that is "The debuff lasts until the end of your next turn" so that way the Thief would be guaranteed at least a chance to attack someone with a debuff and fucking benefit from Twist the Knife passive!

Hell it isn't even that crazy of a fix when you consider how EVERY OTHER CLASS' PASSIVE WORKS ON THEIR TURN/ON THEMSELVES! don't believe me? look:
White Mage: Healer's Hand restores your hp on YOUR TURN when you heal others.
Black Mage: YOU get extra crit chance based on Willpower.
Warrior: when YOU wear heavy armor YOU generate more thread and are immune to Terror Debuff.
Charmer: when YOU wear light armor YOUR sexyness get doubled.
Thief: HURR DURR LET'S BE LINKED TO AN ENEMY AND WETHER IT'S HURTING OR NOT.

The class/combat system is still wildly unbalanced, probably because the devs have no idea HOW to properly balance classes and combat (also most likely because of Savin's vehement hatred for power fantasies, so if he sees a certain skill or setup able to solo content of the same level, he just nerfs it into the ground and never looks back).

That said thief is probably still the best class for damage, just because of the extra 10% crit chance lol.

The whole combat side of things is a very low priority for SavinCo. Same for TiTS. And that's fine, tbh. I don't think the mediocre combat is anyone's first reason for playing CoC.

I tend to go 20 willpower, 17 Cunning and 17 Presence using Psychic Blast as my At-Will, Arc Cannon and Fireball as my Recharge spells for AoE Goodness, Summon Flame Dancer as my Encounter (because hell yeah that summon is good!) and Revive as my Ultimate because honestly...this build is abit squishy lol.

I don't really have a set build, just skills I've been messing around with because I got tired of the grease/fireball/fire summon shit (Fire is a cliche element for magic dps in games and I'm tired of it). And idk I like the theme of this setup. So right now I have Psychic Blast for at-will, Leech to get some health back while doing damage, Arc Cannon for aoe, Vitality Reap for some aoe and getting resolve back, and Banishment for when I just need a break to heal myself/heal a teammate (tho I find myself rarely using this one, might change it).

I don't have Cait, so I run normal Brint (haven't done his quest for the other class), and Quin. Quin synergizes more with a fire build but meh. I changed to these skills a little after the uh Rift place was introduced because I was getting my ass kicked. But I haven't ran this through there yet so it could still be shit.

Stat points are: 20 Willpower, 15 Presence, 13 Cunning, 13 Agility.

Meh, just like with the other prominent text-based games that don't use realporn nowadays, it isn't a ton of fun if you dislike futa, gay, or playing from female perspective content. Sure, with some finagling you can avoid the futa content, but you will still have to see the futa pictures & have futas described to you in very, very descriptive text. If you're a straight male you won't much like this game. One slight misclick and you're in deep gay territory. In addition to the futas, males will also constantly send obvious signals your way, as well. Not fair to leave a review based on my preferences so just leaving this here. Some people like futa content, but I know that the vast majority view futa as a dude with tits. There's really no difference from a tranny and a futa other than tits, both of which tend to have them, stuffed or surgery. God help you if you don't like sharing, as well. These girls are all sluts that will let you know that they will sleep around, either by text or by their classifications.

These text-based games nowadays try to broadly hit every single fetish, while not getting deep enough in to any of them to matter (except futa or gay, jesus christ just like the others like this one, you can't turn left without a futa or "stud with a huge cock" in your fucking face.) If you're a straight male you will find much less content suited for you than anyone else playing this game. There are more dicks than pussies in this game, but just about everyone has tits.

Just to emphasise this imbalance, today I had this battle between a futa, a dude, and a chick. Won the battle and my options were dom/sub futa, dom/sub gay, and get oral or get dommed (Yes, these were pretty much how the options were spelled out) by the only female. No dom vag sex with the only female. Either get dominated or "dominate" her mouth. Nevermind how fucking strange it sounds to win a fucking battle with someone then let them dominate you. What the actual fuck? "Hey I just kicked your ass and decided not to kill you for it, but won't you dominate my asshole?" These devs have been rewarded for trash tier plot writing simply because there's nowhere else to go.

I disagree, 90% of this game's content is made for normalfag straight males; the vast majority of characters with repeatable sex scenes are female, there are barely any male characters and even less male characters that aren't window dressing or villains with a few one off victory scenes and a bad end at best or literally having no sex content without being unwillingly feminized into a submissive waifu at worst, if you play as a female you miss out on quite a bit of content, including an entire companion, and gay content between men is nearly nonexistent.

While I can understand the gripes with all the futa stuff (I'm not a huge fan of it either), you're never forced into a sexual act with them. You still have the player agency to see what content you want to, unless you lose a battle of course. You can still play a masculine pc who only fucks pure women, and you'd still have access to quite a bit of content. At the end of the day though, you are going to end up seeing busts of chicks and dudes with dicks, no matter what. That's just the nature of the game, and if simply seeing or having that described turns you off so much, then this is probably not the type of game for you.

Also, the only character that I can think of that consistently recieves scenes that explicitly state them sexing someone else, is Cait, and you can blame that on Savin's obsession with sharing. Even then, you aren't forced to read any of it, and usually won't even see it unless you actively seek it out.

For as much as I shit on this game, I don't completely hate it. And judging by the $30+k they make a month, a lot of people actually like it.
