He often just casually does whatever he wants regardless of how it works in the rest of the game or world.
He wrote the strongest wand in the game out of line with how wands are meant to work in the universe. They are supposed to be enhancers, not weapons. But look at half of Kohaku's arsenal and it don't fit. He blamed skow for writing the metal wand for this.
He made Kiyoko gave you bento boxes if you don't have her in the party, thus giving her a larger presence than any other companion and setting expectations for more stuff like that while preaching "expect nothing" and "nothings in until its in". He does not seem to grasp that his content sets a ton of expectations that no one else meets and blames the players for looking forward to things. Or, more likely, he does and simply wants to rid himself of any responsibility for people not being satisfied with a single piece of content in this still under development project. Not to mention that the boxes are really strong, offering well fed and willpower buff to all companions. Once again he blamed skow for writing the pupper pale ale which gives toughness boon to the whole party.
He gave Kazuo magitech but justified it as not magitech because it uses plants while knowing that Savin hates magitech and has a rule against it so when anyone asks for magictech like Kazuoxs Savin just shuts it down.
He added a presence check for Garth's medallion quest if you don't bring Garret, which if you fail you lose one of the quest awards. So not only are you making the dungeon harder for yourself by not taking an additional party member but Tobs felt the need to reach through the screen to slap you with an egregiosly unfair check that's one of the bolded rules in the game design document. For all the talk that stats are purely mechanical and not narrative this one sticks out like a sore thumb like tobs' head sticks out over whatever town he lives in to be seen for miles.

Hugs got kicked out of the community for his mood swings, bizzare implementation of out of place content, and fit throwing when told to change his content to fit better. Tobs' content is even more bizzare. The kitsune have no reason to be in this game other than "cuz kitsune", but not only are they here, they have their own massive tree with a self contained climate. Some of the best for class items are gated behind them and it seems like they will be a mandatory part of the story if one wants to deal with Evergreen. Gweyr quest is a one sided philosophical debate with himself where he wins the debate and the champ is all for it. When the quest was equated to a rotten pile of pseudopholosophical diarrhea that made no questions and only preached what it thought was the one and only truth, Savin said that they learned from it for next game.
Hugs wrote not!China and a pointless elf boi.
Wait I this why they kitsune are so fucking annoying to deal with? Literally everything dealing with them basically boils down to stfu, we are better than you, and you have no say.

Oh, that girl that's half your DNA and wouldn't exist without you? You have no say she is ours.

You want to know the political ramifications of such actions that is happening right now? Stfu you don't need to know.

Oh you're just offering to help? You'll never be one of us nor will you be accepted among us!

Just sit back and be an idiot because you won't understand our culture so we won't bother explaining anything to you.

Why couldn't I just genocide them on the first evergreen quest again? At least with the evergreens the matriarch didn't act like she was better or above you in fact she was very down to earth.

(Have been fighting in an encounter for 15 minutes) Starts to think that I'm not supposed to be winning this fight.

If you're going to make something impossible for us to complete, just type something about how our character was overrun. Don't pretend like we can win the fight by making us go through combat.

Edit: so far in this fight I'm in I'm fighting 4 types of cultists. I've gone through the capital alphabet as well as the symbols [ ] ^ \ _ ' and I am now going through the lowercase alphabet. 128 kills and still going
Let me guess... Etheryn ancestor quest huh?

What's up boys! it's been a minute since i been here lol (still holding out for an update that lets you level up to 7 before playing)

Wanna ask a question regarding Kassyrra tho:

If you don't have sex with Kass in the Winter Palace (but weren't outright hostile with her and had sex with her in every other encounter) then do you still unlock her content? (that whole dream realm thingie and repeated encounters i've heard you all talk about.)
This was exactly what I did. I banged Kas in the ass every time leading up to winter palace. In my mind, it was simply asserting dominance and nothing else. Then winter palace happens and it suddenly seems to me like this shit is making no sense at all. Why are they hugging it out and acting like they are lovers? How does this even make sense in a narrative that is forcing us to be the champion against Kas? Plus, there was no domming her this time. Only choice was for the PC to take it up the ass. Oh, I might have fought her to steal her OP skills too lol. Anyways, I didn't act all chummy with her. She seemed dissapointed.

So anyways. Just finished the current content, I don't think I had any Kas dreams or Kas content after winter city. The thing is, her dragon daughter in wayfort goes on and on about how Kas is interested in the MC, so there is maybe some intermediate state between love/hate or maybe they just screwed up the script.

For those of you on the Kas romance route, does it actually make sense in the slightest?

She just a corrupting rape demon than needs love, affection and asserted T-pose dominance.

No it isnt.
Just set you expectation low, really low, and think of COC2 as of a parody/humor porn game. Just laugh and ask for more.

I'm genuinely curious. Take the most generous interpretation and try to justify the romance route for me.

Since we are presumably going to be forced to oppose her shenanigans in the world until the end, how does the MC and Kas justify their actions to each other?

Is the MC trying to redeem her? Perhaps trying to return her soul?

Is Kas trying to corrupt the MC slowly and turn them into a double agent or something?

What does your companions think about you fraternizing with the enemy that is destroying their lives?

Does Kas have a more noble motive for doing whatever it is she is doing?

Perhaps she knows something about the seven which is fucked up and she is trying to oppose them in her own way?

Just anything that might justify them having a romance while the MC is going around undoing all her work.

Okay so after going back and playing through all Kas's content this is what I can come up with that I could remember/infer. I'm putting it in a spoiler cause there are spoliers to Kas's plan for whoever wants to find and read it themselves.

To answer your questions more directly:

Yes the champion is trying to find a way to redeem Kasyrra and/or help her achieve her goal without her needing to do thing her way or take their soul.

She's not trying to corrupt them but she wants their soul. I explained her plan better in the spoiler.

I haven't found much of the companion's opinions on the matter but based on one interaction in the Winter City I think they would be confused and upset depending on the character since they see Kasyrra as the big bad demon lady trying to ruin/takeover the world.

Kas's reasoning is more selfish than noble, although it's not quite the malicious evil bad guy it's set up to be at the beginning. Again more details in the spoiler.

I get the impression that Kasyrra knows exactly what's up with the gods in Savarra that the champion figured out from Nareva in the frostmander quest but she's using their position and inability or reluctance to interfere in the mortal realm or whatever to keep them out of the equation until she gets what she wants or needs to get rid of them. I wouldn't be surprised if she was at the very least pretty close to them in terms of power based on how blasé she is towards them but we haven't been given much in the way or power rankings so that's still up in the air.

Kasyrra is purposefully leading the champion on a wild goose chase to make them become stronger to strengthen their soul until it will work for her plan. Her interest in the champion stems primarily from the direct role they could play in helping her to achieve a goal that she obsesses over due to her demonic nature.

Her primary objective centers around the MC and not corrupting the world so she sees it as more of a game that keeps her entertained and furthers her agenda than the champion ruining her plans, and she picks up more romantic interest in them along the way. It's not undoing her work since she's putting it all there just to prep the champion''s soul so she can take it and use it when it's ready.

Kas romance isn't really supposed to make sense. It's really just wish fulfillment, which this game could always use.

I just wanna bang the big bad evil demon.

Kasyrra theorizes that the reason the champion hasn't turned into a mindless magical soup mixture is due to their extremely strong sense of self which she believes might be strong enough to imprint on their soul so that when she removes it it won't just be a normal piece of lethicite like every other soul (including hers) and something still containing humanity.
Interesting theory. One problem, PC was there with Cait. Or since she turboslut she have magical immunity?

Thanks. Does the MC know that she is causing all this chaos just so the MC can go on arbitrary quests to lvl up? So that they can be plucked later when they get juicy and fat? And the MC is ok with this? Or does the MC somehow believe that the power of love and friendship can make Kas give up her obsession and cure her, thus they will continue to oppose Kas and solve the problems in the world while still loving her, despite knowing that she is causing all this mayhem just to fatten up the MC.... God, even writing this is making my head spin.

My opinion after reading your analysis is that this seems incredibly convoluted and flimsy. For one, it cheapens the plot and lowers the stakes drastically. "Ha! You were just on a wild goose chase all along." "My machinations lay undetected for years..."

It looks much simpler IMO. It looks like when Kas got into new world she just point with finger in first relatively consciousness living thing and said to it "you likes/wants it or not but you are my lover now".
