I still haven't read any kitsune stuff. Keep saying I will....then don't.
Haven't had any major problems with Tobs' writing outside of that, but then, the only major things he's written have basically been fox stuff, a few quests, and the sheep girl.
I do like the sheep girl though.

So playing again after ages (White Mages just steamroll) wanted to ask: is there any particular order of companions for missions one should keep track of to avoid missing on content? example:
Quinn on the Waterfall: Gets his revenge trapping the cultist brute.
Arona on Fort Marrock: gets her nightmares & sidequest for a ghost-smashing set.
Cait during Mising Meows: She comments on stuff/befriends your harem kitties.
so yeah, any more of of those? so far those are the only ones i know.

If you're looking for unique dualogue, you can't get it all in one run.
The new Dawn sword quest, for example, has a tone of unique dialogue. Some companions have more of it than others, but there's still quite a bit.
The only content that you can miss is the special interactions with the Forest Kitsune in the Old Forest, if you don't meet and help them before defeating the Alarune (plant lady) then they are removed from the game. Other then that the rest is just mostly unique dialogue, not really worth worrying about... trapping the cultist has no purpose or meaning, Arona can have her nightmare and sidequest without going to Fort Marrock, and befriending the harem kitties is just unique dialogue (not something I would really call content)...
Never seen cait + missing meows, probably cause she is now Lord of the Inn, she hasn't left that since the start of the game........ :/ Unless I do the Temple, which then she gets a 5 minute reprieve, before going back and taking the Inn/Tavern from Garth, because she owns it now, since she never leaves again.
It's not done yet, I haven't posted it to the forums yet. So all of that might be for nothing. But I hope the devs approve.
You forgot Brienne. If you go to Khor'Minos before turning Brint into Brienne you will never be able to get her.
And another small content, if you recruit Azyrran and/or kill the Alraune you will not be able to see the winter event in the hornet hive.
So if you want to see this you should first clean the hive and then see the festivus before you recruit the hornet knight.

Isn't that tryhard taeleer tsundere done by bubs? Not a lot of content for her true but I do find her "I'm unstoppable" attitude while I consistently beat her ass and knock her up funny.

Tobs and Bubs got one thing in common, the less content their characters have the better they are. Just look at bunny-girl and the fox merchant. Pretty certain it's because they didn't work nearly as much on those so the try-hard levels are just all around lower.
Bubble wrote Quin, byvernia, takahiro and boomer...out of all those the only one I like is boomer. The only person that defends takahiro on the forums is bubs and I think he was upset about players decisions to 'mute' his content in the kitsune den.

Man, my biggest grievance with Tobs was that the content I liked most from him was the bad ending with Nakano. Shame that he decided to not expand upon Nakano at all because he's saved for Kinu
Not like I will ever have her because I skipped that content completely. People who're interested in Nakano wouldn't overlap a lot with people who did Kiyoko.

There's no question at all about whether there are people that liked his work. No one in this thread is disputing this. Quite a fair number of members here even liked and enjoyed his kitsune content for a long while until Tobs inevitably pulled a Tobs and it starts fraying at the seams.
However, just because one has tapped into their own niche and market doesn't magically make their content good, appealing or enjoyable. In fact, one of the more common complaints about CoC2 is the fact that it tries to market itself to as many fetishes and kinks as possible while also trying to be a 'serious' story. While Porn with Plot can definitely work if done right, CoC2 is certainly not there precisely because of how the writers are managed. Some have entire truckloads of content that make you wonder why there's even a main storyline at all, some have barely any content that you question why they're even there.
The fanfiction scene is full of mediocre writers with questionable quality of all sorts but that still doesn't stop throngs of people from flocking to a poorly-written story because it appeals to their particular interests.
Besides, this is F95, where people complain about NTR in an NTR game, demand pregnancy for any early-access game they can find, and ask questions that have been answered about several dozen times in the last few pages of a thread. Complaining about other people complaining is an exercise in futility.

And for the whole Kinu/Kitsune thing, well.
I do believe that, if you are a successful developer (Don't mourn it, they do have lots of patreons and earn heaps o' monee) You should have a set course of action sometimes. Stick to the plan, no matter what. (kinda)
BUT - if the majority of your paying fans and patreons would like to see a certain something, like rewardin' yer Kitsune daughter the most apropriate way possible, and you refuse to do that, not because of that this isn't the way you'd like the story to progress, but out of sheer spite.. Let me tell you, brother, then something's really fucked up in your tiny brain.
Or when you promise stuff others pay you for and you get angry and spiteful because they want you to keep a promise they paid you for. Sometimes you gotta hit that roadblock, when it comes to writing. Everyone does, especially when writing a lot of the same 'stuff' in a short amount of time. But if you don't let others help you with that, if you tell everyone that this part is yours and nobody can have it... And you still don't deliver as promised and payed for.. Well, that happens out of sheer spite for the people that pay, support and 'love' you. What does this tell us about that specific person, huh?
Because that is just a prime indicator of that money and 'power' got to you.
People like that never have any real friends or loved ones around. Just because of the way they are.
And this, this is very satisfying to know. Because tobs, for example, doesn't just 'act' like the antisocial-loser, no, he IS the antiscoial-loser. Propably never felt real tits, or seen a real girl naked outside of porn to begin with. This is what makes me happy.

I'm hoping, and while we're 1/3 the way through with only 1 addition so far (and a new character at that), it would be worth remembering that they wrapped up last May-ternity in June, so hopefully this is just the start of a full month. That and maybe we'll get a few more additions for existing characters who I'm too afraid name for fear of Jinxing it like last year.
