Yeah word choice is one of the bigger problems with the erotica side imo, most blatantly majority of tobs stuff, I really can't think of anyone of any gender whod find "baby bag" or any other similar euphemisms a turn on, and I'm decently degenerate myself. Talking about impregnation's one thing but their ad lib approach and some of the terms used are godawful. Rindos "she smells like ashes and burning" talk is cringe, not a turn on, and/or offensive depending on preference. Tobs has some good setups and writing, purple prose maybe excluded, for erotic scenes but someone really should have insisted he at least altered the terms used for the rng.Heh, I don’t think I’m that much of a lost cause when it comes to word choice, but to me what makes erotica hot is what goes on in the inside, not the outside, and that’s where I have trouble. You can call it a penis, a meat rod, a manhood, or even a one-eyed snake, describe it as being turgid, swollen, hard as frozen banana, or what have you—that’s still nothing to do with emotion.
Especially since kitsune are supposed to be very experienced, playful, walking sex monsters, it's odd how little actual seduction they have written, instead baby bag, ashes, and "hey wanna watch me blow this passed out drunk guy?" Surprisingly little foreplay stuff in game of a character doing something erotic on purpose and giving a smug grin when PC looks, or purposefully grinding against them etc. Warm ups can add a ton to a scenes impact imo. Also disappointed in lack of genital scene flavor text, most have support for knots in some form, some minotaurs have horse flare support I think, but I'm very disappointed I can't be a big greasy pig dude flopping on people mentioning the piggy drill. Doesn't have to be huge amount, just would be nice to have single lines added to characters. Plenty of ntr ish content but sadly lacking in the department to *be* the ntr ub.
And yeah emotion wise many characters are either seemingly boinked beyond repair or in "DANGER ROBINSON FAMILY" mode, but the husbando/waifu factor adds a great deal to enjoyment of scenes, little things like brienne defending you against the rest of your party etc, "take me now" moments etc add a lot, stuff like kiyoko not giving AF what you think post orb, quintillus etc detract
Yeah, Tobs’s word usage has always struck me as really weak for someone who thinks himself a fantastic writer. I think it stems in part from his lacking concision; he’s long-winded and repeats himself a lot, and so feels he has to exhaust every possible synonym for a body part so as not to make the repetition too obvious, which is how we get things like “baby bag”.
I want to say I have a few ideas for kitsune myself, but I’m still a long ways from getting them into the game, so uh … soon™.*
Thing is, I find it especially hard to work emotions in writing for CoC2, because I can’t really account for either character; I have to write with a generic protagonist in mind, and since I’m a newbie they want me writing encounters with generic NPCs to start off, so it gets real impersonal, real fast.

Tobs is the most atrocious writer in the game, he deserves to get shit on for his purple prose and his absolutely mind-boggling goal of pissing as much of CoC2's playerbase as he can. But "He's a horrible writer because he was sexually assaulted lol" take sounds like you're grasping for something that's not there don't you think?

Coc2 happens in half life 2 universe on a distant world that escaped detection of combines, where g-man hides between common folks for a new 'candidates' for his 'employers'. i paused playing this mess of a game to work on a coc1 fork. Tho i do come back to it for ideas on how to "fix" coc1.
On a side note coc2 is very fustrating because in some cases it has good ideas but they end up going nowhere with them.
