While I do think that the insult was unnecessarily personal and most likely untrue, I don't think most incest enjoyers here would actually want to have sex with their family members. Isn't sister/mom like one of the most searched terms when it comes to porn? "Outlier" may not be accurate here.

That's not what I'm talking about. The person I replied to was clearly talking about incest.
Tobs fucked up by not letting us act like a proper parent and there's a lot of hate towards the foxes because of that. And then there's people asking for shit like incest, despite it being something vile, and hating him because of that.
And as much as you hate the guy, going around and saying he's been abused and now he's not mentally sound is just foul. Some people don't know how to act with even minimal common sense and cordiality.
Pornography can and will mess up with your brain. I doubt most kids and young adolescents first interest in it has any relation to incest, unless they live a very strict life and some day the dam just collapses.
In my experience, most people, people that don't consume much pornography, will have some fetish or another, but there won't be much development beyond that.
I'm not condemning anyone, just saying how I think it is. I enjoy a lot of weird shit too, and I can't imagine anyone's face if I personally talk with them about futanaris. I'm cracking up just thinking about it. I'm already down the rabbit hole and I accepted it.
I won't repeat myself about the personal stuff. Let's be at least minimally civil when critizing a bunch of writers. They're not horrible villains, even if Tobs tries to act like one.

When it comes to giving personality to the MC, it all depends on what choices they take with the character. If you present to the player that the character is looking for more than meaningless sex, then it's fair to write the MC as a bit more caring and open-hearted since asshole MCs wouldn't bother with all that lovey-dovey shit. We can't really get into super emotional territory in terms of the MC, so if you want something like that then the character you're writing is going to have to carry that aspect pretty heavily. However the more depth you give their relationship, the more believable it is for the MC to get more emotional.

I'd gladly remove over half of the current content if it meant having more moments like those in the remaining storylines. Yet the devs believe the things they should be focusing on are Bubble OCs, convoluted lore no one cares about and reworking the combat gameplay. I'd also add that illusion of choice when used wisely between major decisions can be a good thing. Having 3 dialogue choices that lead to roughly the same scene with enough variations within it would be much better than being forced into different default personalities that vary depending on who wrote the scene.
One of the main problems is they went with a larger than life save the world plot where it's harder to add more player input since the stakes are always so high. Imagine if CoC2 had a scaled down premise, you start as a nobody in Khorminos trying to make a name for yourself by getting involved with different factions within the city during a major struggle for power. You'd explore different outside areas as the story progressed but Khorminos would remain the central hub. Through many of the quests you'd find Kas as a lesser demon using the little power she has trying to stir shit up, being given the choice to help her out or not which could lead to an ending where the city turns into Gomorra & both of you are its leaders.
Instead we get to watch the story of these special characters who are infinitely stronger and wiser than the MC unfold from the sidelines.

No amount of moral grandstanding will remove the undeniable fact that fucking and brat-taming Kinu is by far the most ethical thing you can do as a champion. Calling Etheryn a boy and turning him into the sissy sub-option he should always have been come second.
And then they'll deny all of that and still claim the MC is special... More like special needs the way they're written sometimes

Rape is baked into the game and is something the vast majority of writers has to and have written, gleefully. To say that incest being vile is justification to not write it is to say that rape is not. Tobs has done it himself, even to another writer’s character, much to his consternation. Don’t blame me for your own words.
Considering the shit the staff in general has said about people who disagree with them and written about in their projects, I wouldn’t put it past them.
