That would seem to be too much. They did say the "monthly update" is probably gone, and this update will take longer than one month, but the indication seems to be that there will be only a couple of scene, though multiplied for the different paths.
Having to cover all the different paths definitively increases the workload, and can justify the delay. But if it takes 5 months (which would be more than the maximum they now foresee, threee), to have only a couple of scenes, even if for all paths, that would really seem too much.
