Don't burn yourself out, you shouldn't feel like a scammer and no one is giving up on you. We aren't waiting 9 months for a couple scenes and a bug fix Lol. There is a reason for the delay and the reason is quality with a lot of quantity. This game is one of my three favorite games (for porn games....FF8 and tactics will always be numero uno) and it's still version 0.1.
Yeah, it's kinda weird like, this time over being the dev and not the player, so my point of view in some situations may be unrealistic, like, damn 9 months is absurd, right, my goal is 2 months but this time I couldn't make it.
As I had to redo a huge deal of the 0.1 as well and I added way too much for 0.2 some stuff surely got out of hand. By far the thing that took out most of my time was editing sound effects for 90% of the animations. Some will not have, and those who doesn't have sounds will be redone for 0.3 because they are not perfectly looped for some reason, so adding sound effect for those was impossible.
I bought 100$ worth in sound effects and I really think they add something positive to the game, but syncing them using after effects was crazy hard and took more than a whole week.
Hey well honestly like I said I really enjoy the game and it's understandable that English isn't your first langue, I was able to understand the situation and context for the most part...
The super vanilla idea is cool though personally the only content I am trying to avoid in my playthrough is any type of sharing with other makes or animals, I'm 100% into girl on girl and most sexual context as long as it doesn't involve another man and that is why I was saying it's good that the more "Controversial" kinks are optional because I know some people like myself are very uncomfortable with being forced to share with another male...
About the android port, yeah understandable too bad android has that 2GB limit which is crazy because we can use JoiPlay to bypass that, so silly but yeah I understand ...
With some stuff getting a rework I guess I can look forward to starting again, I am however having issues trying to get any Judy content, I know there is some in the Gallery but I can't trigger her no matter how many times I record a BD and it's also the same with some stats like it said I only kissed Mimi (1/2) even though I did it a few times so I think some stuff might be slightly buggy but oh well.... I look forward to the next few updates, keep up the good work mate
Yeah man, some stuff came out all bugged, it was only the debut so these bugs I've already solved. There was a variable that made Judy's appearance impossible even. Some stats didn't go up, I plain forgot to add some variables or misplaced them. Some screens were not hiding, some automatic events were not triggering. This is a lame excuse but, working on this project alone made impossible for me to see some errors. For me the strange thing is, many of these bugs didn't happened for me, and didn't happened for others, but for some they do appear! So this is the hard part.
For the android part it is really lame and Idk how to solve this. I could super compress the game but the quality would go downhill! Like, the usual is HD 1920x1080 size, for both cgs and videos. Music also add some weight to it. Maybe if I use the file compressor 2x it would work, but I'm sure the quality would plummet. But when you build the game and try to publish it using renpy, you got an error if the size is bigger than 2gb. I think renpy was never really meant for super big projects.
The risky, taboo tags are 10000% avoidable as you know, but I do think that following the game's lore, in a cyberpunk future, stuff would be so hardcore. But then again, the ability of choosing your way of life (outside a corporation or gang) and ignoring whatever shitty thing is going on would also be true, what you do with your free time would be your problem only as everything is kinda 'legal' and no one really cares.
One of the dolls mindset is called 'GF Mode' and this will be the last one I'll add, it will make this game a real date simulator. I'm aiming a 'teaching feeling' type of thing, with some more innocent and sweet stuff going on. It's the part where the CFD would really distract their owner and make him forget about the fucked up world we live in. As this will be very big and hard to produce I'll postpone to next year.
