Funny that you still don't know the "life cycle" of a game devs here on F95 since you are already that long here on this pirate site. Yes, devs can get helped out at first to gain supporters. Sometimes even can create a fanbase here. Well, sometimes on the other side they and their game can get "destroyed" here also because of shitting a game. So it's also a high risk posting a game here, too.
If the game survives at first and gain some fans/supporters then unfortunately often the demanders/haters/shit posters kinda take over the thread. Some devs can handle that, some not. But in the end many devs leave here. Almost all well known devs did that. And funny, it's actually post's like yours who scares them away.
Also, you said you only pay for finished games. That's ok, but without support before (Patreon is for supporting the developement of the game/dev, not buying a full game) most of these games wouldn't even exist. But again, it's your decision, nobody is forcing you. I also can support only a few ones, the others I download them "for free" here also. But your demanding from the dev to post his game here for free since he should be so gratefull for the start help is, sorry, bullshit. And very naive.
