I'm liking this more than Sengoku Rance atm, feels a lot more like I can just play the game naturally. With Sengoku I always feel like I have to follow a step by step guide to not miss shit and it takes away all the fun of the game for me. Wayyyy too much obscure timed shit in Sengoku for my tastes.
Only thing I had to look up here was how the loyalty worked, figured it was the hearts but sometimes it just doesn't increase with certain characters (at the start anyways). Basically the game seems a lot more intuitive all around, after you learn picking certain members can lock out others anyways.
Though after reading the reviews, it seems like some of that obscure timed stuff might come back in later content, gah. These games are too fucking long to restart over and over to try to figure everything out and I'm tired of relying on a wiki/guide (And being spoiled to hell on characters and story shit). Pls Alicesoft. Sometimes randomness/realism can hurt gameplay. Maybe this isn't as long as Sengoku.

Dude, the "obscure timed content" in Sengoku Rance is a freaking joke compared to this game. Not only is there a literal timer that trigger a Game Over if you don't progress fast enough, specific characters are required to Clear others despite the fact that more then half are mutually exclusive with others, so it's super easy to screw yourself over.
Bleh, thanks for the warning. Maybe I'll put this on hold until I'm okay with being annoyed by a game, lol.

each chapter has a turn limit, the School and District chapters both have limit of 25 honestly more then enough time to see every event that's not locked out by another event unless your playing on hard mode, the National chapter has a limit of a 100 turns (though "day's" might be a better word then "turns" from the District onward)
you get a harem, the only heroins who are mutually exclusive route wise are Kunagi and Senna (the only time you'll have them both is the District chapter), though one of Sae's stars requires the other four heroins love to be at 2 or less while hers is at 6 but no need to worry about that unless you want to five star her. also you can only 5 star one of the 6 heroins per playthrough.
as for other girls you can have sex with a lot of them but your not the only one(but this is alicesoft a bit of rape/gangbang/ntr is expected to a extent)
and this is a extra unique case too.
I launched it and the first combat freezes after an attack, is there something I need to be doing here or is it just bugged for no reason?

It's bugged. Download it again from another server and extract it. Make sure you're antivirus doesn't delete any files too
As far as I can tell, nothing blocked by my antivirus, checked the chest and nothing there, no popups at any point during download, extraction, or running, and I've re-downloaded and extracted from a different source to no effect. Whatever's going on, it's annoying af, and doesn't make any sense. Consistant crash on the first attack animation, as characters going into their "oh no I got hit" pose, regardless of location, attacker, defender, or who is present.

Can you send me your pc specs?
To check your PC hardware specs, click on the Windows Start button, then click on Settings (the gear icon). In the Settings menu, click on System. Scroll down and click on About. On this screen, you should see specs for your processor, Memory (RAM), and other system info, including Windows version.
Either there is something wrong with the files you're downloading or you're PC's processor is too ancient to run this game (though I seriously doubt it as this game is not demanding).
BTW the pc system I used when I played this game without any issues was...
Processor: Intel Pentium 2020m
Ram: 2gb
You can compare your processor with mine on userbenchmark.com to see how yours compare so you can check if the problem is you're PC's hardware is the problem.
If you can't wait any longer I suggest try downloading from another site. Also make sure the install path of Daibanchou is not on the you're PC's administrator's folders. I heard some people had some problem playing games there unless they run their apps in admin mode. Sorry if I wasn't of much help.
I've got an intel i7-4510u, and the computer has 16 GB of ram(I play porn games on my laptop, easier mobility), and it's run other alicesoft games without a problem in the past, so I really doubt that's the issue. And I used a different download source when I redownloaded. Might just give up and accept this thing is just going to be inexplicably difficult for me to play and try something else. I just throw the extracted game into my porn folder so it's easy to access and easy to fully delete when I want to, so it's not the admin mode thing. Besides, it's starting just fine, it only glitches when it gets to a seemingly arbitrary point

To me this game continues to be more addictive than Sengoku Rance. From time to time I still go back and play this. And I like Rance games quite a lot.
I just wished they did a bit more content with the female characters on Kyushu. They are very likeable. Also a mode with more than 100 turns would be nice. Still, it's a masterpiece from AliceSoft. If they ever remake this game to fix issues like the ones I mentioned I'll definitely buy it.

Incredibly hard that's ridiculous. Sengoku rance was as easy as possible for me, same with eiyuu senki, same with venus blood. I finished all of them in every difficulty, (beside sengoku rance since there is just too much playthrough to finish it.)
But this game?! It's just ridiculously hard, like what the hell ? First of all, i got a game over in the prologue (yeah when you have to fight yamazaki) because i took too much turn. There is this system of stamina wich is really a pain in the ass (Where in rance sengoku it replenished every turn AUTO you have to remove your unit from the map if you want them to replenish).
I have like 4/5 unit who really can fight, beside them every unit suck like hell (if you don't take their passive into account). I deleted the game when i was in the world conquest stage, character leave me with no reason, i get attacked from everywhere, they tell me to attack yoma but i can't and am forced to attack dream island. Well whatever this game a real pain, and the CG are honestly disappointing ! "Yeah but the game's old" so ? Rance's old too but got incredible CG, done with me, if you liked rance sengoku believe me when i say "it's not the same at all don't fall into this trap". And if you try anyway, i hope you enjoy yourself, even if i couldn't !

also both this and Sengoku Rance have content that's locked out by other content (something that's not a issue with Eiyuu Senki) so it's impossible to see it all in one playthrough in
if it was Kunagi/Senna those two are route specific the only time you keep both is "Chaos Mode". if it was someone else they will leave if 1, their loyalty hits 0. there are also Heita(3 time) and Daigo(just once) can get lost so you'll have to look for them but this will lead to a big power up in the forms of Super Heita and Devil Daigo(or Mazinger Daigo as my friend calls him )
note having sex with Sion will give everyone a bit of loyalty

This was in development at the same time as Rance 5D, and released inbetween Rance 5D and Rance VI (Sengoku Rance is Rance VII if you didn't know)

When i got the ping about being quoted i though a fanboy was about to come to tell me how great the game is and how much of an idiot i am for not seeing it. But no, it was you with a real answer and to be honest it's a pleasure that i don't have to deal with an idiot x)
For all of your "answer" thanks you, but even so "for me" the game is the problem, i don't mind doing lot and lot and lot of playthrough even if it's to see only one CG, i do have a lot of time after all haha. I don't have anything to come back with about everything you said beside the fact that yeah i knew about sengoku rance, and i did play EVERY Rance, since i'm a real fan of these game, and a fan of Alicesoft (they do make great game) but it doesn't change the fact that the CG in daibanchou suck.
A simple exemple could be "Blowjob" with Kunagi but there is no licking nor sucking in the CG ? Could as well be a nose penetration for all i care since it's that much random.
But that's what I thinks about the game and not the absolute truth about it, that's why, i said to enjoy it even with what i said

haha i never said it wasn't like sengoku rance, in fact if i was going to make that argument i'd say it's not that daibanchou is like sengoku rance it's that sengoku rance is like daibanchou. though i personally wouldn't consider kamidori like either(and i love eushully games more then alicesoft games). side note my favorite two alicesoft games are galzoo island and daiteikoku.
in closing as a good friend said to me "opinions are like livers, everyone has one and even if you cut it down it can grow back"
