Well, actually I just can't help but to wonder why so many keep nagging about slow-burn, can't people really appreciate that at all? I mean, it's not like there's NO penetrative sex in the VN to this point at all if that's what one is seeking, you can engage in the act with several different characters, but the theme with D and MC is the slow-burn romance LEADING to sex, bit by bit, it's romantic love that they have, why haste it, why rush things and take things too fast and possibly ruin shit up? I can't really recall, but it might've been.
I actually think I might need to play the VN from the very start to get story moving to the direction I really want it to go, I started playing long ago and we didn't know how things are about to go down back then as we know now, so there's been some decisions made that I now regret, haha.

He has to work on Melody because he can't have DMD on Patreon anymore so he has to give his Patreon supporters something too, which is totally understandable. And those that freeload the updates really shouldn't be complaining about release schedules because after all; they get the game for free. That's why I just keep my mouth shut even when I'd like to say that I wish the cycles were more frequent.

Just because you don't pay for updates, does not mean you can't criticize! Just be constructive about it and not like some ppl here that just go 'giev update now'.
The dev also has other means then Patreon set up for gaining monetary support for his endeavors so I think my point about not spreading himself to thin still stands, although I do underwrite the idea of having to offer value for supporters on the Patreon platform. With all the Patreon crackdowns the last months I'd recommend pulling financial support from Patreon anyway and use the other avenues that dev's can set up, but hey, people are slow and lazy (dev's included)

if you are on a computer (PC), it should be under C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\RenPy


just copy the saves from there back to the main game folder where the install is

There is a lot of people on the planet. This is evidence that you have very little faith. Milking is something MrDots is most definitely NOT doing. The dev is writing the story he wants to tell, in both DMD and Melody, just because the MC and the main girl doesn't engage in penetrative sex right off the bat does NOT make it milking, even if it takes a year or longer than that for them to finally engage in it, doesn't make it milking, because the story is NOT about them fucking, it's about their lives and their relationship and the development of it as well as the people around them. But if that's your definition of milking, then you've got it all wrong. Milking is when you're accepting/taking money from people on a monthly basis and give them nothing in return for months, not so much as development news, or just downright abandoning the project after a while, THAT'S milking. Just because a story goes on for a very long time, doesn't qualify as milking by any standards.

Yes, and the bathtub scene happens before the photoshoot. If you see D in the yellow dress, have been on the D path this installment and chose stump 1, it should offer you the "No, it's perfect" option at that time.

Slow and lazy? Come on now man, the dev is giving monthly updates as promised, sure it would be better if it was 1 month Melody, 1 month DMD and so forth, but right now schedule is this one, 2 months of Melody, 1 month of DMD, does it make him lazy? Nope, he's doing what he has promised. And Patreon is the most popular platform to get your adult games across, if you were to switch to something else, there's a risk that a big portion of the followers on Patreon wouldn't follow up on that and dev would lose a big chunk of income. He does have this "buy me coffee" payment method for DMD, but Patreon is still the priority and that's where Melody is.

Please remember most 3d VNs contain many similar elements. From DAZ models to all-powerful MCs to exclusive harems to slutty babes.
Many members have much experience with these types of games. DMD is different in some ways? Sure. Great in some ways? Sure. Perfect in each and every way? No chance..

People setting themselves for expectations of one game vs another when the style does have differences is fine, up to an extent. Once people start complaining that the style of a game doesn't match their expectations set by others, it's not always about one being executed better than another, but often because they seem to prefer one style vs another. I think you just offered support for that assertion.

This game certainly isn't perfect in its execution for what it seems to attempt being, but despite its crossover with Milfy City, Dreams of Desire, etc. it still has unique characteristics beyond the superficial level and even direct points of comparison which can be fairly critiqued. With that in mind, I feel people should play what they like and support Devs+ask for other things if they are so inclined, but otherwise don't have much to whine about if they want the game to be more of a clone of other games than it might seem to be.
