Except in Mrdots case, we do know what we are supporting if we choose to support. He is one of the few who actually has a proper release schedule. And it has been consistent so far. If you really don't care for Melody and only want to support DMD, you can always support during the month DMD is released. For example buy him a coffee during the month DMD is going to release and just download the game here.

You went down that path too far. Go back in the game storyline. F can wake up and spend some one-on-one time with Elena, but at some point before your “game over” screen, you have to let Elena know that you can’t take it any further. (Or at least for that evening/morning).

Oh are you still on about funding? Completely missed the original point even after quoting the whole post but hey. Sure he has the funds since @Jeff Steel's just confirmed below and sounds like he can proportion the funds however he wishes but, as @Felicityskye's said, MrDot's given a schedule and you can choose whether to support him or not based on what he does with the funds. He could have easily said "I'm abandoning DMD", shuts down his Humble Bumble and use the funds solely on Melody but all of that is a tangent from the original point.

Well, in reality, whether you “buy him a coffee” - pay something in Patreon - or send him a dollar directly, you will have funded both DMD and Melody as MDots does not have a separate bank account for both games for which he can turn the funding off and on like a spigot. And this is true whether or not there was a monthly update on DMD or even a weekly or daily update. Any donation is covering both projects. So I’d recommend just getting it for free if that is your delemma.

Are you playing the latest update? Because what you are describing was the end for the previous update.
